Hi Folks....My friend Macca said we need to get things cooking on this board and she asked me to come up with an idea so here goes.

Imagine....God has finally answered your prayers and he has granted you an interview with the wonderful Freddie Prinze. God tells you that you may ask up to 10 questions during your meeting and there are no subjects that are taboo. You don't have to come up with all of your questions at once, a couple at a time are ok...but please, let's keep it PG-13 (although a little innuendo never hurt anyone *wink*)

So my friends, let's jot down some questions....and speculate on what Freddie's answers might have been!

I have a couple of questions to start:

1. Freddie, what was your favorite smell?

2. Freddie, if you could have starred in any film up through present day, what film would you have chosen and what role in that film would you chose? (obviously we have to speculate on this one folks.


Well, Macca, I hope this is the kind of post you were asking me to do...

This has been a great start....let's not forget to speculate answers to the questions as well. All of you long time fans who have "known" Freddie longer than the rest of us should be able to come up with some really good answers....

And hue_me, in answer to your boxers or briefs question, I believe the love god wore briefs...I saw panty lines in a CATM episode :happyface

Naw, I believe it was what God him. I watched several episodes of him wearing TIGHT pants. The only thing visible was the "special package" he had you could tell he was...a carrying around. ;) :lol: Which would bring me to ask him a special question, "what he thought were his special features' ;)

wouldn't it be fun to venture a guess at what his answers might be to these questions? Everyone came up with such neat ones. I think everyone should pic there fav questions and post the answers you think Freddie might have given if asked these in an interview....it could be fun.

Here are few I'd ask him today, if I could...

I speculated and answered the questions from my post the way I thought he might answer them--his replies are in red.

1. Of all the women you kissed on CATM, who was the one who made you the most "hot & bothered?" (grins and looks down) after a pause, replies, "I think it would be Irene de Bari. The way she was coming on to me; I mean, I know it was written into the script that way, but it was so hot. Jeanie Linero made a lot of appearances, but I we thought of each other as like brother and sister. She was fun".

2. What's your favorite movie? "Blazing Saddles"

3. What did you think of Freddie Jr. dying his hair blonde for his movie role in Scooby Doo? "I didn't like it at first, but then I got used to it, just about the time it changed back to normal"

4. Is stardom what you thought it would be? "yes and no--there are a lot of extreme pressures that go along with it that I didn't see coming. There are days that I wish I could go back and be a kid again. But I'm doing something I love and not many people can say that about their job"

5. Who was your favorite guest star on CATM? "I would have to say Isaac Ruiz-he's not only a great friend, but he's a very good actor"

6. What's your favorite CATM episode? Your least favorite? (laughs) "Oh, man, you said there would be no hard questions! .....I think one of my favorite episodes would have to be The Hypnotist. The studio audience was such a hoot that day; it was just a fun episode. I cant come up with a least favorite""

7. What kind of music do you like the most? Rock-classic rock"

8. Will you marry me? (just kidding!) (laughs and blushes)..."Ees not my job, man!" (winks)

9. What is it you keep looking at during the episode where Ed gets a facelift? It looks as though you keep getting distracted from someone in the studio audience--an amorous fan flashing herself, maybe? "I don't remember a girl flashing herself--believe me, I would have remembered THAT if it happened!...hmmm, there were times that a cast member or crew off-stage would do something silly in fun to try to get you to flub your lines. Drove the director nuts!

10. Finally, what do you think of our little "Freddie Family" on the internet?"It's awsome! You couldn't ask for a better group of friends!"

Wow! is all I can say Karen. You did such an awesome job..I agree with Suz and Joy...I felt like I was sitting there and I could see every expression on his beautiful face. I loved it. Feel free to do another interview....think of some good questions. You're right...this is going to be fun.

Here goes....

That's a hard one, because as a parent you want to give you're children the best. I think I've always had a strong connection with my family, especially my mother...and I've tried to be respectful and have a good heart. So I would want Pie to inherit those qualities. Good question." (smiles as he sits back, appearing pretty much at ease)

To remain your own person and not let others influence you. I know I fell into that trap at first and I deeply regret it now that I look back. I hope the hours I've spent discussing this with my son helps Pie to stay true to himself. I think he is and that makes me proud. (smiles as he crushes out his cigarette)

"What is the one thing you achieved during your brilliant career that stands out the most to you?"

"Wow, these are tough questions. (winks at me while running his hand through his hair.) I think of I were honest, it would be the time Carson called me over to sit down after my first appearance on the Tonight Show. Carson is a class act all the way. I was so nervous and scared out of my wits. But Johnny has a way of putting you at ease. He's a real pro."

"Any others?"

"It has to be the priviledge of working with someone as talented as Jack Albertson. He's taught me a lot."

"What is the most important lesson you've learned from Jack Albertson that you'll always remember?"


"To be professional, show up on time (grins, because Freddie has a habit of being late and driving Jack crazy when he is) and to have fun no matter what you're doing....oh...and ad lib. Jack and I have worked together for so long that we can pretty much read each others thoughts. That's what makes if fun and lessens the worry of remembering all our lines."

" Have you seen the Tony Orlando and Dawn DVD set? There are seqments with you from the TOAD variety show and you hosting the Tonight show, with Tony Orlando making a guest appearance. What was it like to sing in the openning act. " It was a great experience really. Joyce and Thelma were sweet and were so much fun to work with."



Were you nervous, when you were singing?" A little but it was a gas singing and the choreography was great. We (the girls and I) didn't bump into each other" Freddie laughs


Do you plan on one day to persue a singing career? It is very possible. I am looking into finding the right producer at the present time. If I plan on making an album, I want it to be perfect. My small solo in Tony Orlando and Dawn's To be with you was good experience.


Yes, oh how I remember when that album came out. I completely melted hearing you sing in spanish. Really? Freddie blushes, "I have often thought of doing an album of love songs sung in Spanish" Smiling Freddie grins in a seductive way as he sings a line from a spanish love song. "If that is a preview, Mr Prinze, I will be the first one in line to buy your album!" Using her note pad I frantically fan myself

"Ok, Ok, to back to the interview, " blushing as I smile to Freddie, "What was it like to work with such legendary performers such as Bob Hope and Bing Crosby? Taking a drag from his cigerette Freddie then crushed it in the ash tray. "Bob is a legend. a class act. I was a nervous wreck when we filmed in Montreal. We did the skit he made famous. Small fry" Mr Hope made me feel at ease and was such a great inspiration to work with."

What do you think of your son's acting career? "Pie as I call him, has a good head on his shoulders. He is his own person and i respect the projects choices he has made" Do you think you will team up with him someday on a project?" If the right script comes about, and we both feel we will work well together on it I believe that could happen"

Freddie out of all the fans you have met which one was your favorite?

Freddie: All of them. They are such fun ladies who really like me alot & have really supported me over the yrs. Thank you Chico Chicks! :)

What do you want to remembered for when you are gone?

Freddie: I want to be remembered as someone who was a real success & made alot of people laugh.

Great job everyone...keep them coming..this is so much fun. Karen's right, everyone seems to know Freddie so well. Of course we should, we've been obsessed for a while now....lol. I love how everyone has his mannerisms down too.

How do you feel about your contined success today?
"Surprised actually.." Freddie ponders, "it has been a long and bumpy road"

Because of what you've been through earlier in your career? "that has been a part of it. Luckily with my strong faith in God I have been able to overcome my obsticles"

Sipping his beverage Freddie began to tug on a chain around his neck


"How do you think your fans feel about you today?" Freddie looked up at his interviewer. " I have no idea really? I mean, I get letters from fan's asking for autographs, but I have actually wondered if I have really connected with them in one way or another"

"Are you computer savy?" asked the interviewer, "Not really, I'm like Zac, He hates computers. I am an old fashioned pen and paper kinda guy" Freddie cringed at the thought of his old fashion ways.

"Well I must tell you, Freddie, you have quite a following on the internet!" Smiling she opened her lap top to show Freddie.

Looking over as she moved the lap top towards Freddie. "Sonamagun" Freddie said in a spanish accent. Smiling Freddie gazed over the message board filled with many topics of his old sitcom Chico and the Man and several topics that included only him. "This is incredible!" Smiling Freddie looked at the website. "There are also other sites honoring you that you may be interested in Freddie. Here I'll make you a list of all the ones that are out there"

Like a kid in a candy store Freddie looked on amazed at what he seen "I knew that I had a following from my movie career" freddie said " but never did I thought it was from the internet. Very interesting "

That was awesome! I've always wondered what Freddie's reaction would be to the strange and wonderful internet!! And I bet he'd probably be literally attached by the ear to a cell phone, as much as he liked to yak on the phone!

I agree Karen...I think he would have loved having a cell phone. I can see him driving his Stingray and talking his head off. I think that Freddie would have been pretty computer saavy seeings he put together a ham radio from scratch when he was a kid. He must have been pretty technical minded to do something like that. But what do I know...lol.
Anyway, the thread is going so good, and I loved your latest batch of questions Suz. You are all so creative. Keep em coming.

Looking on he was amazed at what he had seen.

"Forgive me for asking Freddie, but I read somewhere that you were quite the electronics buff"

Smiling he agreed, "yeah that is true I loved to putz around with transmitters and things of that nature. This internet is a whole diffrerent ballgame"

"Are you surprised at the repsonse that you have gotten here on the internet?" "Very, It is a whole new world out there and I hope my fans see the real me and not what was written in the papers so long ago"

"it amazes me that all these fans are around my age and still enjoying my work after all these years" smiling Freddie thinks back at a time of his early days. "If I could thank each one of them personally I would with out a doubt".......

Amazed at Freddie's response to his fans. The interviewer had an idea. "If you would like Freddie, I will gladly loan you my lap top and if you feel comfortable enough, and are willing....."

"what do you have in mind?" Freddie curiously looked at her.

"If you are interested you can write a note of thanks through here and I can personally post it on one of the popular message boards on your behalf"

Freddie nodded his head in agreement, "That sounds like a great idea. I'll sign my name thanking my fans on a photo and you can scan it for me and post it on the website"
Emotions ran high as the interviewer gave Freddie her lap top. Freddie silently thought of what to say as he began to type his thoughts on the key board.

"My Dearest Fans,
it means so much to me to see such love and admiration towards me after all these years. No one can realize how much love and dedication I am feeling from you with all your hard work and devotion to my career and to myself. I am deeply honored that you still feel this way after what I have been through throughout the years in my personal life and my career. I am deeply touched on how you have loved and accepted my son Pie in his on going career in Motion Pictures. Thank you so very much for loving me the way that you have after all these years. You are all LOOKING GOOD! God bless, Freddie Prinze

lol maybe there was real bourbon in the bottle of the homemade stuff chico made for ed in the premier episode. lol

"How do you feel about today's comedians?"

Freddie ponders as he knods his head. "George Lopez is a class act and a riot" Smiling Freddie puffs on his cigerette. "Having your own style and able to accomplish that the way he has. He is unique. There is not a lot of Latino comedians out there that can pull it off the way he has and be so successful at it"

He (George) admires you a great deal"

"I understand that you and George are very good friends"


"Yeah, we are tight. Just like Zac and I. George and I met at a Comic Relief gig some years ago".


"Any plans for the two of you to hook up?"

A big grin appeared on Freddie as he laughed, "I am appearing on a couple of episodes on George's show".

"Really?" the interviewer said with excitement.

"I'll be appearing as Benny's landlord, Mr. Rivera. Benny will be complaining about her apartment and her rent"

"Ah the Mr. Rivera from your comedy act?"

"Yeah, then George askes my character to come by his house to fix the plumbing and I kinda hit on his old ladie Angie in my Puerto Rican romantic way" Freddie blushes and laughs nervously.

"Trust me Freddie, If you were my plumber. I would find any leak possible to keep you here in my house!"

"ok ok, back to the question, How do you feel about todays comedians?"

"I feel honored to help lead the way for alot of comedians today. I was at a couple of clubs in New York and seen an up and coming comedian. I went up to him back stage and almost gave that man a heart attack. He wasn't expecting me at all"

"really? You must of had a great impact on him? What was his name?"

"His name is Laz, His verson of Pimp my ride is a riot. I laughed my ass off"

Freddie sipped his beverage and then smoked his cigarette..

an experience of a life time. I had to admit that I was curious to find out what kind of person he really was as opposed to all the magazine and tabloid articles that I had read over the last year. I followed his PR manager down to his hotel room and was surprised when he told me just to knock as he started to walk away. I must have look dumbfounded because he told me not to worry, Freddie was expecting me. I was just reaching up to rap on the door when it suddenly flew open and I was greeted by a set of the most beautiful eyes that God has ever created. He introduced himself, and then with his hip cocked to one side he smiled waiting for me to tell him my name. Finding my voice and trying not to appear unprofessional, I stepped inside the hotel room and followed him over to a small cozy sitting area. The one thing I remember most, was that he tried his hardest to put me at ease right away. He didn't put on airs and yet seemed like a man on a very serious mission.
"Then let's get down to business" I said pulling out a list of questions and pushed play on my tape recorder.

"Are you ready?"

"Whenever you are" he answered smiling as he lit up a cigarette and relaxed back resting his ankle on the opposite knee.

"What's the best thing about being famous?"

"Money" he answered without hesitation.

"In what way?"

"I now have enough money to help my people, especially the children."

"Tell me about the Prinze Foundation?"

"Simple, we're in the process of of raising money so no Puerto Rican child goes without an education if I can help it. We offer scholarships to those who may never have the opportunity to attend college due to financial hardships.

"I know you're proud of your Puerto Rican heritage, is that why you're focusing your efforts there instead of New York or L.A.?"

"Exactly...but I'll get around to helping other children as the Foundation grows. I started in San Juan more to honor my mother's heritage than my own."

"Why are you focusing on education?"

"I know..it seems odd because I was a screw off in school, but now that I'm a parent I've seen the light" he said showing the deep dimples that the young girls swoon over.

"Tell me about your son?"

"Pie is my voice of reason. Every decision I make is with him in mind."

"Pie?"

"He's that sweet" Freddie grinned inhaling on his cigarette
and then tilting his head back to release a puff of smoke.

"Are you seriously dating anyone?"

"No, not right now. I'm busy with the show, my comedy, the Foundation and writing scripts for various sitcoms."

"Which one do you enjoy the most?"

"All of them, I like staying busy. I'm hyper."

"What's it like working with Jack Albertson?"

"Heaven mama" Freddie winks taking one last hit off his cigarette before leaning forward and snuffing it out in a nearby ashtray. "He's a great mentor..and I love him."

"So your working relationship is solid?"

"Si, very."

"Who do you admire most in your life now that you have met so many important people?"

"Easy, my mom. Without her, I wouldn't be here."

"What do you mean?"

"Every child needs to be raised with strong principles, a good work ethic and lots of love...that's how I was raised."

"Are you passing those same things on to your own son?"

"I'm trying too. He's a good kid and we're very close."

"Do you still play drums? I heard that you're pretty good."

"I try to work it in every week. It's good thearpy and helps me release some of my pent up energy."

"I have to be honest...I thought you would be funnier?"

"Sorry, I leave that for the stage. I like being funny and cracking jokes...but I also have somewhat of a serious side as well."

"Don't apologize, it's refreshing."

"Thanks" he grinned.
