On my computer before we got it fixed, my icons had a shadow under them and no boxes... like in the first picture. Now they look like this [second pic] and I have NO IDEA how to change it. Can someone PLEASE help me? I've tried everything I know of.

Open System Properties in Control Panel, choose the Advanced tab, and click Settings in the Performance section. Turn on the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop option, and click Ok.

i would wait before installing the NEWEST version, there are problems with memory leaks, and it will take a little while for the bugs to get ironed out

Try doing right click Auto Icons by name and should all go on the left side...
