eight and then everthing wouldn't have seemed so rushed. They could have just mentioned both Characters right in the beginning and then that could have led up to their First appearance on the show instead of everything being rushed and corny.

I totally agree with you there. It would have let the audience get to like the characters more. It was hard to believe that Janet or Jack would have fell in love with such cardboard characters so fast.

They could have started mentioning them toward the end of the 7th season and then have them occasionally appear at the beginning of the 8th season. That also would have given fans of the chance to get to know the characters.

Yeah.Janet meets Phillip in one episode & basically married the next epsiode LOL. I still laugh about that when I see it. I think if that show were around today, far more consideration would have been put into the plots. Oh well.

Yes, if the producers had a crystal ball to look into (or maybe Jeannie's nickelodeon) before production started for that season, it might have foretold the sudden ratings plunge and imminent danger of cancellation that their up-'til-then top 10 show would be facing.

Those characters would not have been introduced at all--not that year anyway--if Three's Company's ratings had stayed solid. Everything about the way it happened suggests they were invented at the last minute in desperation to secure a renewal.

They weren't planned...they weren't even thought of...so they weren't mentioned. OK?

Ypu know this how? Were you a writer on the original series? Do you have some kind of inside information that the rest of us are missing?

I agree that it was rushed and forced! It is crazy how quickly Janet and Jack fell for Phillip and Vicky.
