I agree. I so would have liked to see Florida's night school and her eventually getting that job that she magically got somehow interconnect. That would have been a good storyline showing how her getting a diploma led her to getting that job at the store.

The funny thing was even though the Jeffersons was Financially comfortable, they still show Financial growth from season to season with the addition of more stores. On Good Times just the same ole "I lost my job, we are about to get evicted, and this was still going on in season 4

It was kinda depressing. I guess they wanted to show the realities of living in the projects, where a lot of families are stuck in that cycle of poverty from generation to generation.

Which is why I liked the anniversary in the cabin episode. It took us away from the poverty and just went for some fun and laughs. Seeing them two have a good time together.
