Anyone else watching GH? This is like the biggest event of the year. Laura is supposed to wake up from her coma/daze today and reunite with her kids and ex-husband. I am so excited to see her back, even if it is for just a little while. Everyone should watch today so that we can chat about it afterwards!

I never watched General Hospital, but the whole Luke and Laura thing was so huge in the early 1980s, that you couldln't help but be aware of it - and this was before the internet and instant mass communication that we now take for granted.

Hell, it was so huge that even guys watched that show!

But I have to ask - how many times have these two characters returned to the show?? I am aware that shortly after their wedding, Laura left the show for a number of years and returned at some point.

Yeah...and Luke tends to come and go, but that's largely due to Anthony Geary (the actor who plays Luke) living in Amsterdam....I know of 2 times for sure where one if not both of them have left for extended periods of time and returned...that's why I'm hoping Laura's return is for awhile!
