View Full Version : Contact ABC Family!
videotrading 10-26-2006, 01:33 AM ABC Family has once again decided to stop airing The Hogan Family. Let's all let them know what we think of this. BEG them to bring back the show. If this show is ever released on DVD, it would take maybe 2 years to get to Season 4 which is almost where we are at.
Click here and fill out the form to contact ABC Family (write daily if you want to)
http://abcfamily.go.com/feedback/
(when it asks the name of the show, just leave that part blank.)
I'd just like to see them air the full series just ONCE. So, write them as much as you can. Flood their feedback box.
MPKidder 10-26-2006, 10:57 AM Hi. I wrote them 3 times already today...they did this to us already (this year). I was nice in the messages but this really stinks. I TiVo'd the show almost everyday and watched it when I would come home from work. Full House (and others) are always on and many stations air the same things, I wrote and said that it's OK to be different (air different shows I mean), I told them Hogan Family is a little gem and I thought it was great that they were airing a show that hasn't been seen in a while. No offence to Full House (and other repeated shows) fans but IT'S ALWAYS ON, arghhh.
videotrading 10-26-2006, 11:10 AM Thank you!!
A lot of people were recording this show and watching it later. Therefore, the ratings probably weren't great. I don't even know if ratings are counted if someone records a show. Hmmm...
I guess we can just keep contacting ABC family.
MPKidder 10-26-2006, 11:17 AM ABCFamily should take into account Tivos. I think some stations do. I heard that TiVos might be the new Nielson (spelling?) rating system (it should be). As for me, I don't care what time a TV show is on, with a TiVo, I watch whenever I want. I did tape (transfer to tape) some episodes and I was trying to make my own little DVD (transfer to PC). I was waiting for the episode "48 Hours" I think it's called, the one with the stuck Porno Tape (I remember that episode.) It might have been on next week.
leeap76 10-26-2006, 02:03 PM It was on today?? When is the last airing supposed to be??
Pavan 10-26-2006, 02:19 PM http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/2006/10/hogan-family-gone-again-from-abc.html
Scoobiedoo30 10-26-2006, 03:31 PM I wanted to let yall know that I e-mailed ABC Family and told them to please put The Hogan amily Back on There Schedule.
boechsner 10-26-2006, 11:37 PM Well, looking on the bright side, at least we got through the first three years. With the exception of the last two episodes of the third season and Bad Timing.
I was really looking forward to the 4th season. Those episodes I haven't seen in over ten years, with Animal House being an exception.
Come on ABC FAMILY!!! Go through the series at least once!!!
Smokin' Sods 10-27-2006, 12:03 AM I just dropped ABC Family a line. I would ask my fellow HF fans to voice their concerns in a respectful manner. Don't go abusing the caps lock key & using profanity. And don't be long-winded. Remember, we are at _their_ mercy. The show has obviously been getting bad ratings, so if they would ever give it another chance down the line, they're really doing us a favor. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that it makes a comeback at some point. I'd take a weekend-only airing at this point.
RWCTV 10-27-2006, 03:38 AM When does this take affect?
88survivor 10-27-2006, 09:02 AM Next week. It just ended this week.
Scoobiedoo30 10-27-2006, 11:50 AM I wonder if ABC Family has looked at our E-mails yet.
megamanj2004 10-27-2006, 02:59 PM I had a feeling ABC Family was gonna pull the screw job again!
DAMN IT!
Oh well, at least I can watch the ep. from S4 that I recorded from the TV Land WB Marathon.
videotrading 10-27-2006, 04:56 PM Yeah, it's not on the line up next week.. Ugh!! When I wrote ABC Family, I told them I didn't care if the show came on at 2am lol.
Someone said ABC Family had the rights for the show until 2009. I wonder if they bring the show back if they'd start at the begining or where they left off.
I guess all we can do is keep writing.
Scoobiedoo30 10-27-2006, 05:40 PM I sure hope that The Hogan Family Returns to The ABC Family schedule soon
PatJK910 10-27-2006, 11:54 PM I sure hope that The Hogan Family Returns to The ABC Family schedule soon
i wrote to ABC Family telling them to being back that show, I hope it comes back too.
Scoobiedoo30 10-28-2006, 01:59 PM I hope that ABC Family is just calling this a Hiatus and brings back The Hogan amily we should keep e-mailing ABC Family
friendsfan77 10-30-2006, 12:23 PM Yes, I would have been MUCH less disappointed if they just aired the rest of the series first, THEN removed it.
Scoobiedoo30 10-30-2006, 01:00 PM I have not got a reply as of Yet from ABC Family
McFly121 10-30-2006, 01:19 PM They did it to us aggggggggaaaaaaaiiin!!!!! ABC FAILURE.
At the EXACT same ep they did last April. One of the best where Mark and Willie get a porno tape stuck in the VCR, and Mike and Dave get trapped in Mrs. Poole's garage.
It's not like the show's outdated, still don't understand the bad ratings. If garbage like Full House continues to air as often as you see a Starbucks, what the hell?? THF wasn't a hilarious show, but still a good time.
If they do bring it back, watch 'em start all over again just to yank it at the same point of season 4.
Barf on ABC FAILURE!
88survivor 10-30-2006, 03:24 PM God, I love that episode when both Willie and Mark get caught with a porno tape. Life was so much simple in the 80s. Light-hearted comedy here and a little lesson there.
videotrading 10-30-2006, 05:30 PM I found a fax number for ABC Family. If anyone wants to send them a fax asking if they could bring the show back, here is the number
818-840-1973 (Fax)
I am going to do it ;)
EDIT to add:
Ohhhhh what if we could get people to sign a petition and fax it to them???
Scoobiedoo30 10-30-2006, 05:33 PM I wish I had a ax Machine I would be the first to Fax Them
videotrading 10-30-2006, 05:38 PM I tried to call the phone number to ask why it was pulled (because we never did get an answer), but I just got a machine. I was going to leave a message, but the box was 'full'. ;(
88survivor 10-30-2006, 06:11 PM Try tommorow. It sometimes works, you know.
Scoobiedoo30 10-30-2006, 06:16 PM do they have a Phone Number.
videotrading 10-30-2006, 09:20 PM Here's the phone number:
1-818-560-1000 (Phone)
You may want to ask for someone in 'programing' or something. Ask to speak to someone or leave a message for someone in that department. The machine I was transferred to gave this long message about nothing (what shows are on dvd, etc..) so it's not worth listening to just to find out the machine is full.
I was ONLY going to call to find out why the show was pulled. I don't want to ask over the phone if they'd bring the show back. I don't think the person over the phone could answer that.
Scoobiedoo30 10-30-2006, 09:26 PM what are there Business Hours
McFly121 10-31-2006, 02:32 AM Hehe, ABC Family's headquarters are just up the freeway from me in LA. Should I spraypaint the offices with "Up With Hogan Family!" on the walls?
Could be worth a shot ;)
videotrading 10-31-2006, 07:30 AM Nice idea, McFly!
I love it
MPKidder 10-31-2006, 08:44 AM We are all upset with ABCFamily, I will also keep E-Mailing them but since the I Network aquired WB shows, maybe we should suggest Hogan Family - I think they would treat HF better than ABCFamily did.
88survivor 11-01-2006, 01:42 AM I hope it all works out. I am praying they'll hear our cries to put this show back on.
Scoobiedoo30 11-01-2006, 04:55 PM I did e-mail ABC Family again
LisaGee 11-02-2006, 09:56 AM I called ABC Family in LA yesterday and spoke to a very nice gal who told me that she would check on if/when the show would be aired again as the normal lady in scheduling was on jury duty. The schedule she had did show the show was still on, but I told her that Boy Meets World was on so she wasn't sure what to think. Hopefully there is hope yet!
BrianB 11-02-2006, 08:16 PM My first post on these message boards.
I sent a feedback to ABC Family as well.
I was watching everyday.
Movie12 11-02-2006, 08:43 PM If ABC Family does bring back Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family I think it should be on Monday thru Friday at 4:00pm and 4:30pm. I think that would be a much better timeslot since more people are home to watch it at that time.
Scoobiedoo30 11-02-2006, 08:47 PM That what I said The Hogan amily should air at 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm when more people are from school.
Pavan 11-02-2006, 11:33 PM Who cares what time it is on. As long as it is on! I think for them it would be best to shove it to Saturday and Sunday mornings 7-8am. No pressure there and we still would get 4 episodes a week. 4-5pm would be a nightmare for them in the ratings. The show has never done well historically in syndication. Kids from school these days don't know what Hogan Family is. They are targeting 18-49 not 12-17.
videotrading 11-04-2006, 02:52 AM If ABC Family started The Hogan Family where it left off and aired it on the weekends, that would be great! But, if they start all over again and only aired on the weekends, it would be months until we got to Season 4, and it would give them plenty of time to pull it (again).
I do think the show will be on ABC Family again. Since they hold the rights till 2009, I am hoping it doesn't take them that long to show the entire series. :(
Movie12 11-04-2006, 10:47 AM ABC Family just picks bad timing for The Hogan Family to come on. In April 2006, they were airing it at 12:00pm and 12:30pm and in September 2006 and October 2006, they were airing it at 8:00am and 8:30am. If you think about it, people are in school and work during 8:00am, 8:30am, 12:00pm, and 12:30pm. I really think if The Hogan Family comes on at 4:00pm and 4:30pm or sometime in the early evening Monday thru Friday, then I think the ratings would get alot better.
Scoobiedoo30 11-04-2006, 11:20 AM I have say I was sad when I heard that The Hogan Family got taken off The air and I have to say I am still sad.
Movie12 11-04-2006, 02:40 PM Does anyone agree with me that The Hogan Family should come on at later time at either 4:00pm and 4:30pm or in the early evening?
Scoobiedoo30 11-04-2006, 02:45 PM I agree with you.
LisaGee 11-06-2006, 10:34 AM I agree that a better time slot would be the best. As long as they bring it back, I will get up at midnight and watch! :)
videotrading 11-06-2006, 04:46 PM I agree with an earlier comment pavanbadal made. I don't think the kids who are in school now even know what The Hogan Family is. I doubt the show coming on in the afternoon would do better in the ratings than Full House or Boy Meets World.
The Hogan Family had a lot more adult story lines than the other shows on the ABC Family.
Scoobiedoo30 11-07-2006, 12:50 PM I pray every night that Ther Hogan amily does Return
Scoobiedoo30 11-14-2006, 12:54 AM Has anyone heard from ABC Family
