This is a topic for music that is played to many times on radio or on music channels. This topic can apply to 80's music on MTV or whatever.

Radio:
Angry All the Time: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

I love Tim, but everytime I turn the radio on that song is playing. It's an okay song, but they are really driving it in the ground.

Music Channels:

When I think About Angels: Jamie O' Neal

This song was overplayed too many times on CMT. See above- everytime I turned it on CMT, this song was playing

*applause* Yeah! Yeah! Woop! Whoop! Whoop! Yeah! Agreed. I know of both those songs and I no longer like them. Ok, in all honesty, I can't stand them! Who's fault is that, do you suppose. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'm not really a country fan, but my parents are, so everytime I go anywhere with them (which really isn't THAT often), I get to listen to country. And that song I've heard SO many times. It's getting on my nerves.

Besides, everytime it comes on, my dad always says something like: "Isn't that nice, she's thinking about me." http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I don't know about where y'all live, but the songs that was overplayed down here was the Macarena.

That song got SO annoying. I can't stand it to the day because they played it so much.

"I'm on the outside" or whatever the hell it is called by STAIND. Make that any frickin' song by Staind. Staind is the most worthless, no talent wanna be band to come on the scene in awhile. GOD I HATE them and I CAN'T ESCAPE them!

In general - with ANY new song - radios run it seriously into the ground. Most noted was that song by Celine Dion from the Titanic. It seemed to come on every hour. Was anyone not sick of this song when they FINALLY backed off of playing it?? I got really sick of it really quick. It's almost like they don't know how to play a few new songs, then take a break with some old songs. At least -- that's how it is with the radio stations here!

"peaches N' Cream" is by 112, I think....and I think they're more like R&B or something...my friend has that CD and it's definitly not pop...

By the way, JoJoJoJoJoJoJoJoJo....I guess you're all better now? Someone on here told us you were in a car accident and in the hospital? Glad to see you are back!

The Devil Went Down To Georgia by Charlie Daniels was overplayed when it came out and is still. But then, any time I hear it is one more time to many for me. I worked someplace for awhile where someone had a tape with that on it. He played it everyday, usually more then once. At least that made leaving that place all that much more joyfull for me.

I guess Jo x 9 will tell us, but I think our injured friend (Amanda) is Jo x 6.

I said that earlier but I was wrong. Amanda is Jo x 9.

I always change the channel or change the station if a song comes on that has been overplayed. I can't really think of any specific examples right now but I will say this. If I hear one more "Hey DJ" song I'm gonna lose it!!

I actually have no idea what is being over played these days because when I have my radio on, it's on stations that plays vintage country music.

God bless you always!!!

You Light Up My Life by Debby Boone (in the late 70s when it was released), it was everywhere all the time! I haven't heard the song in years but if I ever do I have to change the station because I just can't stand to listen to it anymore.:thumbsdow

^^^ LeAnn Rimes did her own rendition of that song in 1997. I am guessing that you couldn't stand to hear her sing it either.

God bless you and LeAnn always!!!
