He corrects her and says "New Rochelle." She replies something to the effect that "I always get those small towns mixed up!" Lolac 10-24-2006, 01:43 PM In "Hustling the Hustler," Buddy's brother Blackie says he has an after dinner engagement in Scarsdale. ("Is that still near New Rocelle?" "Well, yeah. They don't move towns that large often!") In "Jilting the Jilter," Freddy White says, "After all, not everyone can be from Westchester!" Lolac  SawgrassSteve 10-24-2006, 07:35 PM Yes, According to the girl, Graciella, they were in Red Hook, NJ. Is there such a place? Steve JudgeGarth 10-24-2006, 10:41 PM You know, Bill, there really is a Bonnie Meadow Road in New Rochelle, where the Petries supposedly live. roseha 03-10-2007, 03:16 AM Interesting question, I feel somewhat able to answer it since I was born in Tarrytown and lived till I was about 4 or 5 in Yonkers. To the best of my memory neither town was ever mentioned on DVD (and I think my ears would have perked up!). I don't think I have missed many DVD shows, if any. I do take the Metro North out to Connecticut and many times have thought of the Petries when the train goes through New Rochelle. |
