Being on a crowded elevator with a screaming infant or small child.

Being on a bus or any form of public transportation and the person next to you is carrying on a conversation on their cellphone--loudly.

An overly-chatty person sitting next to you on the ride into work who tells you their life story and they don't get the hint that you don't want to talk to them.

Being on a crowded elevator and someone lets one rip lol It's happened to me a few times and I usually get off the next time the door opens, whether it's floor I'm going to or not lol

I've been on a crowded subway train a few times, and I find that quite unpleasant. I don't like being squeezed against a load of people. There's barely enough room to breathe. I feel uncomfortable, and nobody looks particularly happy, and it's not something I enjoy.

Being on a crowded shuttle. One time I rode a small shuttle and it ended up being packed with people to the point it was difficult to move.

being on a elevator with a person who coughs or sneezes without covering up their mouth. Also standning in line in front of a person who coughs and doesn't cover their mouth.

Also a person who pops their gum over and over while chewing it.

Or standing behind someone who's writing a check and they wait until they get up to the register to fill the whole thing out. Instead of filling it out before they get to the register.

Being in close contact anywhere with strangers is panic attack worthy to me. I hate people who think they can invade my personal space.

Yes, and also standing behind someone who uses a credit card and it declines and they say "what try again" and it declines again. So you have to wait like another five minutes while they go digging for another card.

So that was you hiding in the corner of my Non-Verbal Communication class yesterday, wasn't it? ;) Well, we were talking about the subject of eye behavior, space, and touch in elevators. On the non-verbal explanation of crowded elevators we are generally uncomfortable because of the small, confined space. We feel that we are trapped since there's really no where else to go by stand in a smallish place. It's intimidating for our personal space.

I just experienced this yesterday at my cardiology appointment as a matter of fact. Having agoraphobia, and being stuck on a crowded elevator is definitely not a fun experience!! I can think of a few things that are worse, but that's definitely right up there.

OOH!!! That pisses me off to the 5th degree! Especially when i'm going to work. I'm always behind some elderly driver riding a damn buick or some stupid soccer mom with a stupid minivan who feels the need to get in the FAST lane and go below the speed limit. Then acts upset when everybody passes them!

The lamebrain idiots who know good well that there credit/debit cards declined two days ago but they still want to use it and hold up the damn line and act all innocent and upset at the cashier like the cashier ran up your credit. Or how about the parents that can't control their kids, lady or sir, if your kid runs up on me one more damn time I won't hesitate to whip out my belt and bust some ass!

Last(for now), the men who get all bold and invade my space when they are trying to get with me. Back up two spaces, do not pass go. Please, if my wedding ring and my rainbow pendant did NOT give it away the first five times. I speak many languages, which one you understand?

What really annoys me is when someone calls you you don't actually want to talk to but you don't want to hurt there feelings by telling them you don't have time to talk to them. So you end up listening to them rant and rave about the same thing they have called to talk to you about 3 times before and then they end up talking to you about it for and hour and a half. And another thing they call you and then they don't call you for like a week so your like of good don't have to listen to them again and right after you say that they call.

Phone telemarketers

I like to ask them if they can hold while I get the door and then leave the phone off the hook until they clue in and hang up

 I should try that instead of just being rude and flatly hanging up on their ass. I'm trying to eat my damn dinner, don't call me around 6!!!!

One thing that's even worse than being on a crowded elevator, is being on a standing room only bus. The elevator thing is bad enough, but the crowded bus is worse, because you're on it longer, and some of the kinds of people you typically have on buses, are usually far more annoying than the people you come across in elevators. Not to mention all the butts and crotches that are constantely in your face, when you're sitting on a standing room only bus.

I also hate it when I'm seated next to someone who forgot, or just didn't bother to put on their deodorant before leaving home. ohno: And the worst part is all the people on the bus, who are probably thinking that the smell is coming from you.
