after his team loses a Big game?-lol we were talking about this at work and some of the females were like-"That would be a big problem because it's only a damm game" I explained that some men have EMOTIONAL attachments to their team and a Big loss if not that easy to just get out your system. So ladies would you be UNDERSTANDING and know not to bother your boyfriend/Husband after a Huge loss?

It wouldn't be a problem for me. I have emotional attachments to things/people, which others would probably consider strange. But I've never seen anything strange about getting upset over something, even if it seems trivial. If someone is emotional over something, it means quite a lot to them, and I think people should respect that.

I would have a problem with it, it's not like your out playing the game yourself and even if you were, I don't see why you would need 2 hrs alone.

LOL well, my husband coaches football, plays football and watches football. And when his teams loses he's upset and disapointed but he doesn't need two hrs to get over it. If he's playing in the playoffs or something and he loses I know not to bring it up. But he doesn't need to be alone afterwards.

It's very normal for a sport's fan to be down if his team loses a big game. Some people like to be alone when they're down. When the Red Sox or the Patriots bomb out, it bothers my husband. It doesn't rock his world, but it bothers him. Many people get emotionally invested in sports.

Who said that? Not I and not Brie. We were talking for ourselves and no one else. Don't put words out there that wasn't said. I said, my boyfriend doesn't get all bent out of shape, sad, depressed or whatever over his team losing. That's stupid. Reread what I posted.

With all the problems in people's lives and in the world, your fave team losing shouldn't be at the top of the heap...if it is, your priorities are screwed. Go ahead and be upset, don't expect me to "grieve" with you. I got things to do. I don't think it's crazy or gay either. The only way it could be gay is if everyone who gets upset over their teams losing is attracted to members of the same sex.

And I don't think it's crazy for people to get upset over it. Some people place a high importance on sports, so it's only natural that some might get emotional over it.

I don't really agree here, either. People are different; different things will be important to them. I myself care very much about some things that other people will say are trivial, and compared to other horrible things in the world, they might not look like they matter much, but I still care about them a great deal, and get upset about them. I wouldn't like anyone telling me that I should be worrying about other things more, because I do worry about them - but what seems trivial to one person, might not be another, and I don't think it's fair for people to tell someone they're getting upset over something that isn't important enough, because to that person, it is important.

Well said. People care about what they care about. You get a guy, or a girl for that matter, watching game after game all season, for months on end. With baseball there's over 150 games. Your team loses it all on the way to or in a playoff game, and that's not supposed to be affect him? Sure, on what planet?

Now you've come to your senses.
I never said that people DIDN'T need time to "get over it"...my stance has been that it's CRAZY.

Let a guy state the opposite, and they'll be strung up for being a women hater.

Oh please, let's not even go there. You are one of the ones who is passing judgment on those who love Janet and Jack as a couple. Let's AGREE TO DISAGREE. Some people need time to get over the loss of a game and the rest of the world just moves on living.

What goes on over there has NOTHING to do with this topic and you're never guilty of that right? I will agree to disagree that some people need more time to get over the loss of a game.

Just curious if you and your pal every get tired of cheerleading for each other, backing each other up, laughing hysterically at stuff that's not funny, telling each other how gorgeous you are?

Just curious.

Can't generalize abt "passing judgment" and then chastise someone for doing it. It is in your siggy as well. So, in essence, you are taking around the board. I am not arguing with you or "passing judgment" on you as you so stated in your post, I am only saying that you made a generalization in using the term and now you are not liking it when it is brought to your attention.

fyi: since you two are bent on making a mockery of this thread, i will not respond to anymore of your bullsh*t...so go ahead and keep wasting your "precious time" posting here.

Back to the topic, Solomon, you live alone as it is, why do you need two hours alone when your team loses? I don't get it? Are the ladies bugging you on the phone? at the door? I would think that when you are focused on the tv/game that everyone you know, knows not to bug you. Am I right?

Oh ok. So in essence, the answering machine will pick up because you don't want to talk on the phone after your team loses. Do your friends know not to call you after your team loses? Do you think it's because they want to laugh at your team losing? I know guys can do that sh*t just to aggravate.

My Cousin and One of my female friends usually call to see if I'm OK if my team loses a REAL BIG game like a playoff game or a Superbowl. if it's just regular season then just wait for me to call. I was ignoring my mom's phone calls and emails for 5 days after dallas lost to the Eagles-lol I was SICk that week

Are you still pissed? wait, nevermind, I know you are. It was so stupid seeing those two damn episodes back to back. I can't believe the idiots that work in TVland. How stupid is that??? I know they got feedback after that fiasco. Have you visited their website to see what it says abt that mess?

Yep. I was so shocked. I mean, was it a technical issue, like the tape was marked incorrectly or was it pure stupidity on some technicians part? I was hoping you went to the TVLand board and went to check out if anything was said abt it. You know how I feel abt that website. Damn racist board.
