They were not worried about some sofa. They needed a car if you ask me.

They never seemed to worry about getting a car. They just seem to like the public transportation.

I noticed that, too. I would have had me a car. LOL.

A lot of the transportation issues didn't make much sense in the show. Like that one time when Larry came over to take Jack to the Lakers game which started in 15 minutes.

They all had ridiculously high cell phone bills that's why they couldn't afford a new sofa. :happyface

Didn't the couch come with the apartment? If so, I wouldn't pay for a new couch either. The landlord would be buying me a new one if you ask me.

No furniture was taken when the roommates left the apartment for good.

It was so silly that they were always taking buses or cabs. It would look ridiculous to be commuting with a side of beef, a 5-foot tall stuffed giraffe, Janet & Terri bringing pillows and other niceties to Jack at the room above the restaurant.....

Yes, it was my impression also that they had a "furnished" apartment. Why else would Furley get them a new one, and why did they leave it behind???

Jack may have 'owned' the restaurant, but he was leasing the building from Angelino for what was it...$800 a month. And as a partner he had to give 10% of the profits!

Well, how can three people take a couch with them? LOL

Besides, Jack was moving in with Vikki, Terri was off to Hawaii and Janet had her new man and would buy new furniture, so I can see why they wouldn't want the "used" sofa.

And it's true abt Jack, he was an owner of a restaurant, but he was BRAND NEW, it wasn't like he had established his business and had money to burn.

It's easy to see why Terri, for one, didn't have much money--she obviously only worked part-time! It seemed as though she would only be at work for 2 or 3 hrs! Some episodes she would be flitting out the door for work in the early afternoon, and arriving back home for a dinner date by 5:00!

That wasn't realistic. Almost all nurses in hospitals work full time. And, on at least one episode, Terry was working double shifts.
