Is it hard for you to enjoy candy like you did when you were a teenager? I have now come to the conclusion that I can no longer eat candy and only snacks with salt. I tried eating Twizzler Bits tonight and they taste like Twizzler SH*TS-LOL Anyway, anyone else 30 and over have trouble enjoying Candy?

Yea I rarely eat just plain candy anymore. I don't even remember the last time I had bubble gum. I still like the little Debbie cakes and the hostess pies but just plain candy I rarely eat anymore.

I had a Hershey bar earlier today, because chocolate contains important antioxidents that help the body.

Adults can justify thier candy consumption.

I'm in the same boat myself. Even as a kid, I didn't eat that much candy... not to my knowledge, anyway. I ate candy more often, but hardly ever these days.

I'll buy the occasional bag of milk chocolate OR dark chocolate M&M's, plain Hersheys, or a Twix bar, and that's about it, as far as my candy consumption goes. I never was much for candy, although I ate them more often as a kid.

Now, potato chips, on the other hand...

I agree Solomon, I'll have candy just every so often. Just don't have the taste for it that I did several years ago. I don't really have a taste for salty snacks anymore either.

I don't have much of an appetite for it anymore. Maybe once in awhile, i'll get a small bag of candy, like Rolos or Riesen, but that's about it. Lately, I prefer fruit or cheese and crackers.

I still like candy, too--just not maybe crave it on a daily basis as I did when I was about 11. Every now and and then I enjoy a Kit Kat, Snickers, Milky Way, Three Muskateers, Butterfinger or Reese's.

I guess since I'm allergic to chocolate I don't crave it as much.

I would say I enjoy candy almost as much as when I was a teenager. Not quite as much but almost.

Nah, I like chips or something better. I don't really crave candy bars anymore. I used to love Skittles and now they sound like crap. Sugar in a sugar shell. Yuck.

Plus now I feel guilty for eating that junk.

The only candy I crave now is chocolate candy like Twix, M'Ms or snickers. But I do not crave the others like skittles and starburst like I did when I was a teenager. Now I much rather eat and crave chips, cheez doodles and doritos.

Yep! My boyfriend LOVES CANDY. I don't eat it as much as I did when I was a kid, but I still like it.

And you look at all the stuff they put out and you're thinking to yourself, "They put WHAT in what?! GROSS."

I do that allllllllll the time with soda flavors. "They put CHERRY and VANILLA in Dr. Pepper?! NAAAAAAAAASTY."

Being 34 years of age, I have no problem with candy. When I eat salty food I end up craving sweet candy (particularly chocolate!) big time. I don't believe it used to be that way for me.

While I don't have less of a desire for candy than I did as a youngster, I think my desire for salty food is less. Not long ago I had a 10-inch pizza with thin crust, and it filled me up. That is surprising considering the fact I have eaten 12- and 13-inch pizzas in one sitting.

I've never been a big candy eater even as a child, I just get cravings for Snickers every once in a while.
