It was on an Internet chat room, but still...

At about 8:50 p.m. this evening, Mr Barry Gibb came onto the chat room on his website! He answered two of my questions!

The first thing I said was say how shocking Steve Irwin's death was and asked him if he was familiar with his work. Mr Gibb said, and I quote, "I'm sure everyone will miss Steve Irwin" and added that he was the only contact with nature we had and that we wouldn't see him again for 100 years.

I also asked him what the Bee Gees' younger brother Andy was like when he was a little boy - Mr Gibb said "Andy was very outgoing and sweet and, like all of us, a little naive."

So, yes! I SPOKE TO A BEE GEE! I SPOKE TO A BEE GEE! I SPOKE TO A BEE GEE!

Wow... even in a chat room, it's always fun to talk to a celebrity. :)

It sure is! He seems to be very nice, and seems to have a good sense of humour.

He comes in there a fair few times, so I'm going to hang around there and hopefully I'll get the chance to ask him a few questions again! Right now, I'm thankful that he answered two of them! :)

That's terrific! You must have been thrilled. I love the Bee Gees. It's too bad they've suffered such tragedy.

Wow, this is pretty darn cool, Michelle. :) Barry is one of the greatest singer/songwriters in music history and to be able to talk with him would truly be an honor.

You should try to get to his chat room, sometime, Mike. :) He's not there every week, but he has been there on numerous occasions, and the Administrator will sometimes announce a general "time" when he might be there. Apparently, he usually comes in around 3-4 p.m. EST time (he lives in Miami.)
