View Full Version : What are you doing on Halloween?
Kay Scarpetta 10-21-2006, 01:17 PM I'm packing in a car with a few of my friends and taking a ride to Dudleyville, Connecticut. It's dubbed one of the "most haunted places in America". Apparently the whole Dudley family settled there and either died of insanity or murder, and now the abandoned town is haunted beyond belief. I love abandoned places, (I've been to many) so I jumped at the chance. A lot of people think it's pure bulls**t, but you never know until you go (and probably get arrested for tresspassing )
(Fleet, do you know anything about Dudleyville? Any speculation on the "haunted theory?")
SO. What are you guys doing? Trick or Treating, handing out candy, costume parties?
Courtnee 10-21-2006, 01:19 PM I'm working a fun house for kids 10 and under at my school. I'm going to be an old hollywood scarlet. I just need to get my hosery and dress and I'm set. :D
Brieannas21 10-21-2006, 01:29 PM I'm going to my little girls daycare, they're having a Halloween play. Then that night I'm going to dress her up and we're going to let her give out candy to the Trick or Treaters (she's only 3). Next year she'll have a chance to go Trick or Treating since she'll be 4.
Brian Damage 10-21-2006, 01:31 PM I'm working :(
Scoobiedoo30 10-21-2006, 01:45 PM watching TV
Number 9 Dream 10-21-2006, 01:51 PM Well, on Halloween itself I'm probably just handing out candy in the morning and watching some horror movies (then I have work from 2:30-6, but yay, I get to wear my costume!) Afterwards, I might get together with a friend and hang out. Not too sure what we're doing.
However, next weekend I'm going to a HUGE Halloween party that's held in a barn. My co-worker's cousin is throwing the party (she holds one every year), and I hear it's a huge success. There's a costume contest (I'm going to be a cocktail bunny), beer pong, cards, food, etc. Loads to do. I can't wait :)
rusyd 10-21-2006, 01:53 PM I'm working :(

-*Forever*- 10-21-2006, 04:17 PM I have play practise until 5:30 [actually maybe later than that by that point] and then after that, I'm taking my sister trick-or-treating. YAY CANDY.
But on the 28th, I'm going to a huge costume party. It's gonna be FUN.

No, I haven't heard of Dudley, but since you've mentioned it I'll do some research.
Halloween for me:
- Turn on and operate my Halloween display in the garage.
- Pass out candy while at my H-ween display.
- Close up about 9:00 PM and drive over to a few local Halloween yard haunts.

dawsongirl 10-21-2006, 11:30 PM Cool...ghost town. That'd be neat to see.
Anyway, I'm doing nothing. We get no kids, I have no friends, so screw the whole holiday. :)
Fleet 10-21-2006, 11:55 PM Wow. Never pegged you for much of a Halloween fan. ;)
Yeah, I'm just a "casual" Halloween fan. :D

AllIWantIsYourClutch 10-22-2006, 05:58 PM I'm dressing up and going to see Rocky Horror.
Brad Russ 10-22-2006, 06:14 PM I'll probably be hiding in my house with all the lights off, so none of the trick or treaters will think I'm home.
PZelda 10-22-2006, 06:41 PM I think there's a party... So if there is, I'm going to be going to that party with my friend on Halloween. I don't know if I'm going, since it's on a school night.

Why not buy a bag of awesome candy for yourself and then buy some cheap, lame ass candy for the children?

I have a dress rehearsal for our school musical....as stage manager, I'm bringing candy for all the kids in the show 'cause I feel bad they can't go trick or treating.
Nighthawk76 10-22-2006, 10:02 PM I plan to watch the Square Pegs Halloween episode, "Halloween XII", and some horror movies.

But; I'll tell you one thing I'm DEFINETALY NOT doing-dressing up! That's for kids!
Ags2000 10-25-2006, 09:53 PM I'm working :(
