Tell me about it. It's absolutely puerile. The characters weren't meant to be a couple. The actor and actress portraying them were not meant to be a couple. John was married and Joyce was involved with somebody.

I agree. This is a big reason I really don't come to this board as often as I used to. It's ok for people to bash and make jokes about Jack and Janet, but not okay for people to make a thread expressing how much they wish they were a couple. So what if they really weren't? It's a sitcom--people are allowed to speculate.

Other than me, Sonny and Katie, not many of you were around during the origianl run of the series. They were never intended to be romantically involved. That is why it is a sitcom and not a romantic comedy.

I don't really care what is going on in your mind. You can deny, wish and pretend all you want but the ending did happen whether you like it or not.

Janet and Philip's wedding and Jack and Vicki getting together in the final episodes do not change it into a romantic comedy. As stated by AlabamaBound and Walking Tall, Three's A Crowd was a romantic comedy. Those are the plain and simple facts.

BTW, I guess I should add, just because I'm not a Jack & Janet fan does NOT mean I'm a Janet & Phillip fan!!! Janet seemed like she had more of a level head than to get married so quickly. I mean after eight seasons of being VERY careful with choosing and having her boyfriends, only to suddenly fall "madly in-love" and get married. If the producers were dead set on them being together, they should have introduced him earlier in the season and let to viewers get to know him (and don't tell me the spin-off wasn't in the works then, I know that much LOL). They just should have done something to let to viewers get to know this guy is they HAD to have him marry Janet. Rant over! :p

If any of you like something else open up your own thread and talk about it all you want but don't go around bashing others because they have a different opinion than you.

Let them have their thread to say positive things abt these two characters. The relationship may not have occurred in the show, but it can be a storyline made by the fans. True, the thread implies millions of things, but as the posts show, it was abt them as a couple. I will have to say though the initial post does say ANYTHING ABT J&J...NOT THEM AS A COUPLE only posts. I know you like the characters. So do I. I have been a fan since this show started.
