Its been a while since Ive made a thread like this [LOlll], so I figured why not. Ok well, heres my dilemma. The guy I like [Curt, in case anyone was keeping track] at work have been hanging out a bit more lately. He switched job positions right when we started to become 'friends' and now he works overnights . Anyways, whenever we hang out its always with our usual group from work and we'll go to Peking [Chinese restaraunt/lounge] usually, we've bowled, etc. things like that. Me and him have gone to a bar once alone and then made plans to mini golf the following week and today we went out to lunch with Sheri, but then I dragged him with me to find a small pumpkin at a farm stand lol. Next week we are going on a haunted hayride with Alyssa and her husband [!!!!!]. Well, all of my friends at work think we are 'dating' and constantly go on about it and now others at work overhearing it are all 'ohh you two would look nice together' blahblahblah, and while I do enjoy those comments lol, I dont want rumors being spread if he doesnt feel the same way. A few people have voiced their opinion that he does in fact like me based on his actions - Alyssa said he was very flirty with me bowling - but I dunno. I guess my question is, how can I tell he likes me without straightforward asking him out since 1. I would be devasted if he said no lol, and 2. I wouldnt want things to be akward between us and Id like to continue hanging out with him. People keep getting my hopes up saying he likes me and stuff, but I think if he did he wouldve asked me out by now regardless of how shy he is since we have hung out a few times and such.

Be in a joking mood and ask him, "So when are you going to take me out to dinner?" If he says soon or agrees to do it, you are in like Flynn. lol

No guy who just wants to be friends will spend his money on you if you were just "Pals."

Agree with the first statement

I spend money on my female friends and don't have any other intentions. Thats what friends do.

I think there is more intention with spending money on a female. I have also spent money on female friends, but to go out just you and her on a Saturday night, looks more of an interest than just hanging out.

Well we met at Peking Friday for 6 but I got there 15 min. early and he was already there too, and he opened the door for me FINALLY. Alyssa was late, after 730.. but me and him split crab rangoons and I got 2 drinks. I put in $10 and he said that covered my drinks and the meal, but I know it didnt and Alyssa said he didnt want to make it obvious he was paying for me. IM SO CONFUSED.
