Hi! I was wondering if anyone who has seen E.G.O.C (Edna Garrett on Campus) would be willing to tell me about the episode since I've never seen it and FOL does not show where I live. I know Mrs. G enrolls in a Shakespeare class with Blair & Jo but how do things turn out... please I;m dying to know lol

*SPOILER ALERT*

This is actually one of my favorites! Mrs. Garrett goes to class with Blair and Jo and finds that classes are not taught like when she was in school. The teacher is very eccentric and uses The Family Feud as a way of quizzing the class on Shakespeare. Mrs. Garrett freezes up and can't come up with the answers fast enough. The funniest part is when she accidentally smacks her pearl necklace and they fall all over the place. Poor Mrs. G. :( :lol:

By the end of the episode, Mrs. Garrett joins Blair and Jo in Edna's Edibles to read from Shakespeare hinting that she gives it another chance. However, we don't see anymore from Mrs. G in school. I could be wrong but we don't hear about Mrs. G going back to school again, I think, until the stakeout episode when she is studying Russian literature. Can anyone else offer more info?

I can't wait for this season to come out on dvd!! :happyface

I love Mrs. G too! It's kinda cool when you haven't seen all of the episodes or don't really remember an episode. It gives you something to look forward to. I'm super-excited about "The First Time". It the only episode I have never seen, I think. I'm waiting patiently for the dvd when it is released.

I think I recall the show showing Mrs. G studying at Edna's Edibles or in the dining room (hence) books in front of her but I don't think they show her inside a classroom after that.. could be wrong...

Oh I loved that episode! Charlotte Rae did a wonderful job in this one! Thanks for the laughs and the memories, I can just picture the episode in the my head right now...

That's awesome!!! We should chat sometime because I love talking with fellow FOL fans (especially if Mrs. G's one of their favorites) hehe Oh I hope us FOL fans will get our wish having the complete series on DVD someday :) Have you seen the Pilot ep for FOL??? Mrs. G is adorable in it (well she always is) who could not love someone as sweet as pie??

yes, she is studying late late at night in her pjs... and she is reciting verses.... "the light through yonder window breaks, it is the east, and juliette is the sun, arise fair sun and kill the envious wounds who are already sick and pale with grief... and desperately want to ace this class!" That is something i have always remembered from that episode... but its quite a cute episode!

Darn now I really wish I could see the ep! lol I wish there were screencaps or something...

I would love to start a FOL screencap fansite and together with the effort of other FOL maintain a site filled with caps :)
