I am glad they ended it the way they did. I mean, you don't have the usual I SEE THE LIGHT, I SEE THE ERRORS OF MY WAYS. The old bastard was still racist, was still hating blacks even though George saved his life. It would have been too corny had they had that person suddenly change his mind abt black people. We have to see that people like that don't and won't change their ways.

I loved how Florence was ready to jack him up after he said the N word. And her and George ready to leave the apartment TOGETHER to confront those guys. That was classic. Usually those two get on each other's nerves, BUT! this time, they were ON EACH OTHERS SIDE!:D

I absolutely agree with you Irene. It was great to see that he was still a hardnosed, bitter man. Sappy, happy endings just don't happen in real life.

Right! You know, like the Brady Bunch happy endings. Life unfortunately is not like that.

It still had kind of a happy sappy ending because all the white guys started leaving the meeting after the young guy's dad was taken to the hospital

Those guys weren't KKK members. They were "potential" members. Remember, the father and son were holding a meeting to get rid of the low-lifes of the building.

I liked this episode and one of the reasons was because of what all of you have been saying. It was not predictable like we all thought it would be the first time we saw it. I first saw it about a year ago. I also liked how George and Florence teamed up. Those two in a scene together, whether or not they are getting along, always make me laugh the most.

I am also glad that the ep ended the way it did. Just like you said it shows that people can still be that way no matter what
