i remember back in the 1980s
just about anyone at all
no matter how out of the mainstream or not
had a public access show

they had the White Aryan Resistance RACE AND REASON in california markets

the AMERICAN ATHEISTS Group had a show with Madalyn Murray OHair

various fringe religous groups

various Satanic/occult groups had shows

Conspiracy Theory Shows

etc etc etc etc

it seems they have all disappeared from most areas

anyone have any of these odd or controversial public access shows?

due to the controversial nature, u can email me direct---- i do not agree with all of these shows, but i would like to see them again for the novelty and just plain oddness of the era

I have the public access show "The Great Satan at Large" - a bizarre number from Arizona circa 1991 that got pulled off the air after one episode. The tape also has several news reports about the show, as those involved got in some legal trouble because of it.

The "host" is dressed up like the devil and just sits behind a desk screaming "hail Satan" amongst other inflammatory stuff, pounds a spear, and headbangs to bad metal. It is pretty bizarre.

I'll never forget the bizzarre domantrix show from Seattle circa 1994 where this lady would wrap guys up in saran wrap and spank them, I saw this from a hotel room and was literally shocked. Then after that this long haired stoner had his own music video show where he in typical Beavis and Butthead commentary would show his favorite music videos which he said were "cool" and the one's he didnt like (but showed them anyways), he said those "sucked" accompanied with various expletives starting with the letter "F". If anyone taped those who lived in the Seattle area at the time, well I'm impressed.

Yes they dont make public access like they used to!!! Heck even talk shows like Morton Downey would never last today, they yanked off Michael Savage's cable show so fast it wasnt funny, I hate the guy, but people IMHO should be given the right to say what's on their mind whether we like it or not.
