I do think it's cute how April is trying to hook Luke up. I do like how that relationship is forming.

I guess he had to change the hat, since Lor gave him that hat in season 1 I think...but, yeah, it doesn't suit. Bring back the old hat!

Actually, since I started this thread, Luke has gone back to wearing an adjustible hat, not the fitted one I was complaining about in the first post.

TJL, you made a great point about how Luke's hat is a metaphor for this season of Gilmore Girls. I think if and when he and Lorelai get back together, he'll dust off the old hat and put it back on. That could be a nice scene. (Him putting his old hat back on)

Didn't Lorelia buy him his old hat I know there was an ep in the earlier shows where she bought him a new hat but I can't remember if thath is the one he was wearing last season. So if it is the hat that Lorelia bought maybe that's the reason for him wearing the new hat.

YES she did. I think Superstar mentioned that earlier. Anyway, she bought him the blue hat at the very end of the season 1 episode "Forgiveness and Stuff." (AKA, the episode that was around Christmas time, and Richard went into the hospital. We can also remeber that episode as the one following that HUGE argument between Lorelai and Emily, because Rory fell asleep with Dean at Miss Patty's).

I'm pretty sure, if and when Lorelai and Luke get back together, he'll dust off the ol' hat.
