View Full Version : Do you know anyone who can drink the same cup of coffee all day long?
Ireneparalegal 10-16-2006, 12:49 PM I am getting ready to leave and took a sip of my coffee and it's cold! YUCK!!! this reminded me of a teacher who had a cup of coffee on her desk in the morning and she would sip it slowly all morning long into the afternoon...DISGUSTING!!!! How can people drink coffee that is no longer hot? My daughter told me right now too that she had a teacher that let the mug sit there and after two hours will still take sips out of it.
James"Thunder"Early 10-16-2006, 02:05 PM Can't say I've heard of anyone who does that. I very seldom drink coffee, but when I do I drink it while it's warm.

I will do that... but NOT when it's cold. I will get up to go reheat my coffee and then finish that off. That rarely happens, because reheated coffee is just as gross as cold coffee.
Chocoholic 10-16-2006, 03:20 PM I see some of the teachers at the school I work at do that too. Personally, I can't drink cold or even lukewarm coffee. It has to be nice and hot, even in the summertime. I also can't stand reheated coffee or coffee that's been in the pot all morning.
I just got this new travel coffee mug that works so well. I can pour myself a cup before the morning bell rings and it's still nice and warm at recess time.
My roommate can drink the same cup of coffee for what seems like hours.
I can't drink lukewarm coffee.
Hot coffee? Sure. Iced coffee? Fine. Warm/cold coffe is out of the question.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 10-16-2006, 04:53 PM That's gross. I get irritated when my coffee isnt hot...I got coffee like a half an hour ago and its already lukewarm and I'm pissed off.

No, LOL that's got to be nasty. It would lose it's freshness by then. I only drink one cup of coffe in the morning at work. You have to hurry up and drink it because after 10 minutes, it would lose it's flavor.
robyrob 10-16-2006, 08:48 PM see there's a little secret about this that your teacher knows that allows her to drink her coffee all day long without worrying about the temperature or freshness....
...she puts whiskey in it.

That reminds me of J.R. Ewing and how he loves his coffee: with bourbon.
JoPol_wannabe 10-17-2006, 12:11 AM Yeah well if you think thats nasty my parents make one big pot of coffee and that can last them through out the week. Personally I think coffee is nasty even if its fresh.

I agree, reheated coffee just doesn't taste the same.

I don't get it. Coffee is one of those things you just can't reheat. Either I get a fresh cup or NADA!
Courtnee 10-17-2006, 05:09 PM The cold coffee thing seems rather nasty. I just can't. It's like drinking cold Hot Coco. :barf:
