GARFIELDKOOL 10-14-2006, 10:25 PM I love this group. I am listening to this CD as I type. My favorite song by them is "Sara Smile" My mother use to sing this song in the house when I was a kid growing up. I also love "Maneater" and "She's Gone" These guys knew how to "Rock and Soul"
Janice 10-14-2006, 10:27 PM They were a hit machine. One great song after another. I loved 'Rich Girl' too.
Ireneparalegal 10-14-2006, 11:14 PM Rich Girl and She's Gone are awesome. She's Gone is my fave. Especially the long version. Great duo. As a matter of fact, they are considered the most succesful duo in musical history. GOOD JOB HALL AND OATES. I remember when they performed at the Apollo and sang with the two guys from the Temptations, David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks. The video would play all the time on MTV.

vashti1999 10-15-2006, 01:31 AM I'm a big Hall & Oates fan. I had all the big albums they released in the early 80s: Private Eyes, H2O, Big Bam Boom. I never get tired of One On One, that's my song. Other favorites: Out of Touch, You Make My Dreams, Sara Smile, Your Imagination, Method of Modern Love, I Can't Go For That.
Yooch 10-15-2006, 01:42 AM You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin--I like the Hall and Oates version is better than the original Righteous Brothers version.
JoPol_wannabe 10-15-2006, 02:19 AM They are my all time favorite duo group. I just love every song they sing. My favorite song is She's Gone I even like the version Hall did on his solo album. I saw them in concert a year ago with Michael Mcdonald and wow was that great I mean just to see Hall & Oats sing was wounderful they sure can sing, but at the end of the concert they sang a couple songs with Michael Mcdonald and boy was that good, that has got to be one of my most favorite concerts I have ever been to.

Brad Russ 10-15-2006, 03:51 AM Rich Girl and She's Gone are awesome.
Those are my favorites of their's as well, although Rich Girl is actually my very favorite. There was also this really touching song that John Hall wrote about his sister who died, which I really liked alot, but I can't remember what it was called. Maybe one of you guys know which song I'm talking about.

catlover79 02-03-2007, 11:27 PM I saw Hall & Oates w/ Todd Rundgren at the Tower City Ampitheatre in Cleveland, OH in August 2002. It was a very fun show! I remember they opened with "Adult Education" and went right into "Out of Touch". They ended the first set with "Maneater" and the encore set was "Kiss On My List", "Rich Girl" and "Wait for Me". With a gift card I got for Christmas I got the Essential Hall & Oates CD and it's AWESOME.
When I was very little, "Maneater" was the big song in the country. I couldn't understand why everyone liked it. I said, "That's a horrible song! She wants to eat him!" I thought it was about a cannibal.
waichingliu81 01-17-2008, 11:04 AM they are one of the america's most successful acts, and probably the country's most succcessful duo in pop music history too. i think they are great and darryl hall has one of the best voices ever.
my favourite songs are:
maneater
out of touch
rich girl
i can go for that
private eyes
everything your heart desires
kiss on my list
sara's smile
Austin Tripper 01-17-2008, 01:11 PM I agree!!! Hall & Oates are one the best groups ever! I heard the funniest and most honest interview ever..
Daryl Hall did a interview with Howard Stern on Sirius Radio! He is pretty hardcore with his points of view! Really blunt, if you can find it online somewhere.
I love their music! I think out of any musical group, most knows 8-10 songs by them and most of all the lyrics!
I saw a concert they did on VH1 Classics and wow was it entertaining!
I'm listening to the Ultimate Daryl Hall & John Oates CD right this second. Some of my favorites:
Private Eyes
Sara Smile
Family Man
Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid
Out Of Touch
Maneater
Dean Winchester 01-17-2008, 05:54 PM nice to see Your Imagination isn't forgotten, it's one of my faves too though it was unfortunately the least successful song during their hitfactory period of 80-85
catlover79 01-17-2008, 06:13 PM I saw them in concert in 2002, on a double bill with Todd Rundgren at the Tower City Ampitheatre in Cleveland. It was a terrific show.
