Her short hair and those dowdy outfits she was made to wear made her seem so bland and boring. Very matronly rather than a young mother with some style and flair.

In that episode where Raymond loves to look at that "hot" waitress in the restaurant, Debra could look just as "hot" as her if she was dressed different and grew her hair out. I don't know the reasons for the character looking so horrid in the early seasons but her look sure changed for the better as the seasons went on. There is a black dress that Debra wore a few times that has a white blouse underneath it that I think is so wrong for Debra. It makes her look like a kindergarten teacher or british nanny. It covered her from her neck down. What were they thinking when it came to dressing this character???????? :eek:
