View Full Version : Bruce getting his Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
kismet 10-13-2006, 09:00 AM Bruce is getting his star on The Hollywod Walk of Fame on Monday, October 16, 2006. I wonder who will be there to honor him???
Wouldn't it be great if Cybill came?
How about Glenn? Most likely, don't you think?
I want Bruce and Cybill to have their stars in the same area.
kismet 10-13-2006, 09:01 AM Ooops. I forgot to post the link.

Tanks Kis!
It's all great!:D
Have you read that?:
"Co-stars from Willis' vast array of film and television roles will also join in the fun"
Also Cybill? Never say never
I thought what Cybill said in her CD "Live in Cinegirl" about she got her star in Hollywood Walk of Fame and Bruce didn't go because he said one of them had working on ML! So I don't know what she'll make!
dihop 10-14-2006, 01:56 PM Cybill's star is right outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.......Bruce's will be outside Virgin Records.
Now they both have stars....there is a certain symmetry to that!
Congrats to Bruce!
kismet 10-16-2006, 09:59 AM Does the TV Guide channel carry stuff like this? I swear I saw a promo on the TV Guide channel that Bruce's Hollywood Star stuff will be carried today at 4pm??? I am not sure if it is shown on the TV Guide channel or on another one. I did not know that TV Guide carried things like this. I hope it does. Anyway, it said 4pm -- I don't know if that is eastern time, central time, or pacific time.
Can anyone help? Please.
kismet 10-16-2006, 10:08 AM from the TV Guide website:
"Yippee-ki-yay, Grauman's Chinese Theatre! Film vet Bruce Willis will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — the stellar sidewalk's 2,321st overall — on Monday, Oct. 16. Among those on hand for the plaque attack will be Billy Bob Thornton (Willis' Armageddon costar) and DreamWorks biggie Jeffrey Katzenberg. For coverage of the event, tune into the TV Guide Channel Monday at 4 pm/ET for "Bruce Willis: Hollywood Star," a special edition of TV Watercooler. "
Today at 4pm (on the east coast).
Yup that's right. I just set up my dvr on my cable box to record it and watch tonight once my boys and hubby are asleep :)
kismet 10-17-2006, 08:26 AM I watched it yesterday.
Billy Bob gave a short speech. Ben Affleck was another speaker.
Kevin Costner was there - so was Sylvester Stallone but I didn't actually see him. Don Johnson was there. His mother, Demi, Ashton, and the three girls were there.
Bruce gave a short speech. He mentioned and thanked Stephen Eads, Glenn Caron (who I did not see), his mom (no mention of his dad), Demi and their daughters, and his brother David. I am sure there were others but I can't remember. He did not mention Cybill.
TVGuide dragged it out for 2 hours - for most of the time, the host and others talked about Bruce (with some put-downs and also some accolades). Bruce accepting the star and the speeches were a very small part of the show. I wish the camera would have stayed on Bruce and his family members, plus the guests as well. It would have been more interesting to me.
They showed the Moonlighting "PACT" scene a couple of times. I love that scene.:D
kismet 10-17-2006, 10:06 AM It will be repeated several times on the TVGuide channel:

The TVGuide channel is the one that scrolls the TV listings on the bottom 1/3 of the screen.
By the way, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Len Wiseman (director of Die Hard 4) were there also.
Alert - Bruce begins his speech a little before half-way through the show.
kismet 10-17-2006, 10:37 AM Unless they pick up the star and move it, it looks to me that Bruce's star is located directly in front of Graumman's Chinese Theatre.

Now that's a MAJOR star.
Thank you, Moonlighting. Thank you, Cybill.

I so far have watched half of the show last night and will watch the other half tonight( hubby wants to watch the rest too) I beleive i saw Glenn Caron in the audience with the rest of the gang of family and friends. Too much tv guide people though and not enough Bruce. I am so happy he finally got his star. It was a LONG time coming. IMO
The TV Guide Channel coverage was terrible! It was more commercials than show. I would have rather seen just the ceremony and speeches without the mindless chatter. And are we back to calling it Die Hard 4.0? I thought it was changed to Live Free or Die Hard.
kismet 10-17-2006, 12:29 PM Who was Glenn standing next to?

I agree.
I didn't know the new name so I just said Die Hard 4.
TV Guide Channel kept calling it Die Hard 4.0 even while talking to the director and he didn't correct them, so I don't know either. It seems like it keeps changing.
kismet 10-17-2006, 02:04 PM Who was Glenn standing next to?
I just re-watched it, and I did see Glenn Gordon Caron. He was standing near Kevin Costner.
It was fast that they showed him and it wasn't up close but he was to the left of the screen if i'm right.

You are correct. Glenn was to the left of the screen, on Kevin Costner's right.
