I don't know what it is, not a big difference in her age between the two shows. She looks cleaner or something like that here than on her show.

Thank you Sweet Jesus..LOL I am not the only one who thinks this. I am sorry, but Penny was NOT a looker on Laverne & Shirley. It irked me to see her get all these guys "flying around her like bees to honey" practically. :rofl:

Especially that one episode where her fiance (played by Ted Danson) were going at it on the couch, kissing and kissing and kissing, while Shirley and the old lady were sitting there watching them. Disgusting.

I think that she looked okay on the earlier L&S episodes. I thought she was funny as Myrna--a character much different than Laverne--but I always thought she looked frumpy on OC.

I didn't think she looked very good on the later eps of L&S; by then the five + years age difference between her and her onscreen contemporaries was starting to show; that and the fact she was way too thin and hagard in the last two Cali seasons.

I remember when I was watching the show originally. I always referred to Cindy Williams as the pretty one and Penny Marshall as the funny one. :lol:

I think it might have been the hair and the clothing. Myrna had long hair and wore short skirts with heels. Laverne had short hair and long poodle skirts with saddle shoes. Penny's face was better suited for longer hair.

I like how Penny looked as Myrna much of the time, especially when her bangs were long. Her hair was a very nice, natural medium-to-dark brunette color. I prefer her longer styles.
