Could be it was her first day or first week there, but YES, those are things an employee should know, especially in a restaurant. That person should have had a note by the side of the phone to give that info out. I would have talked to the owner/manager of that restaurant and told them what occurred.

That is actually one of my biggest peeves about customer service, right behind the employee who can't stop fooling around and chatting with their friends while on duty. That woman sounds both rude and lazy. There is no excuse for that attitude. She should have either helped you out or found someone else who was willing to help. I'd definitely call the manager if I were you. Let him or her know why you won't be patronizing their restaurant any time soon.

There's a chance that woman could have been mentally ********, but they shouldn't have her answering the phone if she can't answer simple questions like that.

OMG....duh. Yeah, I've encountered situations like that and wondered about those people myself. I mean, how dumb can people be?

Well, isn't it agreed apon that people are getting dumber?(good for the government). And it doesn't help that society is being made more complicated.
With employees that don't know anything, that could be due to budget cutbacks and no training in this bad economy. And bosses bringing in their kids.

Our gov is no longer "BY THE PEOPLE". Vote Nov 7.
