My good for nothing station will be prempting at least the next couple episodes of the enhanced Star Trek. So, my only hope of seeing the episodes is if someone in cyberland trades them with me.

So, if you have enhanced Star Trek in your area and can record it for me please give me a yell at

mego73@hotmail.com

and we will work out something

It is the original Star Trek that has some newly created effects put in (like Star Wars special editions)

They are being syndicated on a weekly basis by Paramount

its amazing how much needed to be reshot for the new production

i read a very detailed article a couple months ago

the main reason was so they could show the thing on hd tv

the original prints were just not detailed enough to make the move

so pretty much all the action scenes needed a to be done from scratch

they said that 80% of the show was redone in one form or another

what a project

a retail release would also follw at some point

no time frame was given

I realllllllly hate this trend

I mean i have like 3 versions of the star wars movies, b/c lucas cannot stop obsessing over what shade greedos eyes were in scene 49 or such

every major movie seems to have a regular releses, then an ULTIMATE version or a directors cut or a platinum version, etc etc etc

and now we have to go back and redo 30 year old classic trek eps

AAAAAAHHHHH

just leave well enough alone

Can you show me that article? As far as I can tell only a few effects shots were redone per episode and most of the show is how it was before.

Although they did go back to the negatives and really clean things up it's still the same show except for the few redone effects shots and a recreated opening credits.

I am fine (and am interested in looking at) revisions and alternate versions of shows and movies I love but only if the original version is not discontinued. That was the only reason I got mad at Lucas
