I liked them all, but if I had to pick it'd be the BW episodes. My favorite episodes were when the Clampetts thought Mrs. Drysdale was an alcoholic. The color episode I really liked when Jed was considering buying the Navel ship.
I liked them all too. I have alot of favorite episodes. I liked the one about the
the girl from back home who has the clock that takes pictures of her & Jed.
I also like the one where Granny gives her horse moonshine to beat Mrs.
Drysdale in a buggy race plus many other episodes.

I was hooked right from the start. When Jed strikes oil on his property, and Pearl wants to know what he got paid.
Jed says, "Some kinda new-fangled dollars"
Pearl: Jed, they ain't no new kinda dollars!"
Jed:" Oh yeah Pearl. Les see. It weren't silver dollars. It weren't gold dollars.
(looks over at granny) Granny what kinda dollars were they?"
Granny: "MILLION DOLLARS!"
That might not be the exact wordage, but it sure made me laugh. What a great show for most of its run.
My preference is usually for the B/W epsisodes.

I like the B&W episodes the best, the music was great it seemed each character had their own little tune. I liked seeing the Hillbillies look innocent and naive.

I liked the first few seasons that it was in color. The last two seasons started getting absolutely ridiculous w/ Jed buying Central Park, The White House from Phil Silvers. I've wondered if the ratings were truly so low that they thought Silvers would pull them up? There were some stand-out episodes from the last two seasons, but for the most part, the previous seasons are much better IMHO.

B&W. That said, my all-time favorite BH scene was in color - when Granny breaks down the door to Mr. Drysdale's office.

My preference is usually for the B/W epsisodes.no; you're right. That wasn't the exact wordage. It goes somewhat like this:
Pearl-"Jed, Elly May come runnin over t' my place an' said ya sold th' swamp t' some oil comp'ny".
Jed-"Well yea, ah guess ah did".
Pearl-"WHAT did they pay ya fer it"?
Jed-"They ain't paid me nothin' yet. That Brewster feller said he'd be by with th' money later".
Pearl-"Well, how much ere they gonna give ya"?
Jed-"Now Pearl, you know that ol' swamp ain't worth shucks".
Pearl-"Jed Clampett, ya' got slickered an' you're 'shamed t' admit it"!
Granny-"That's jus' what ah tol' him".
Pearl-"Granny, how much they payin' him"?
Jed-"Allraght, ah'll tell ya! That Brewster feller said somewheres aroun' twenty-fave t' a hunnert' ".
Pearl-"twenty-fave to a hunnert?
Jed-""Ah know it probably don' sound like much, but that Brewster feller seemed t' set great store in th' fac' that he's gonna pay me in some new kin' o' dollars".
Pearl-"New kin' o'....? Jed, they ain't no new kin' o' dollars".
Jed-"Well, theys new ta' me. Ah heard o' gold dollars, silver dollars, paper dollars. But he said it was...(turns to Granny) What kin' o' dollars did he say, Granny"?
Granny-"Million...dollars"
Jed-"That's it. A hunnert million dollars".

I like the whole series; but I like the black & white ones the best; ecspecially the early ones.
There were some stupid ones torward the end, though-like those ones where Granny and Elly discovered "womans lib".
