LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Acting couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are developing a comedy project for the CW network loosely based on their real-life experiences in the soap opera world.

The untitled comedy has received a script commitment from the network, which recently arose from the ashes of the defunct WB and UPN networks.

Ripa, who co-hosts the syndicated talk show "Live With Regis and Kelly," and Consuelos met on ABC's daytime drama "All My Children." Consuelos most recently recurred on "Hope & Faith" and co-starred on Lifetime's "1-800-Missing."

They are not the first acting couple to turn their real-life experiences into a comedy for CW. "All of Us," co-created and executive produced by Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, moves to CW in the fall after three seasons on the WB.
