Its over 200 episodes- so far, its the largest set I have found on dvd. I have seaosn 1 2 3 4 5 9 complete in order, on about 6 discs each season- but everything is packed up right now- i plan on taking my sets, looking over the 13 discs set, and adding in. I think total between the two im missing 19 episodes. but, its such a huge task. Of course, its no comparison for Crapola theater...I can only dream of having that set. Ahh.. Japs 10-05-2006, 04:54 PM Well I'll have to see lamont about this one I think:wave: lordsmurf 10-07-2006, 02:47 AM No, there is not any set floating around out there. Even my own collection is missing a few of the supposed 262 half-hour episodes. Some of those sets of "episodes" are a mess. They split half-hour episodes in half, because most of them have two stories of 11 minutes each in the half hour. For example, those "200+ episode" sets are more correctly holding about 125 half-hour episodes, not even half the series. Everybody seems to have the same episodes, and usually proclaim it to be "complete" when it's not even close. Much of this cartoon has not been shown on tv in 20 years. Some of the episodes are not in syndication. And the syndication package can vary from country to country. Europe, Australia and USA/Canada each have a different syndication package for their region of the world. But even if you recorded all of those, and bought every single VHS, VCD and DVD release made to date, you'd be missing several dozen. The specials and a non-jittering/stable cut of the movie can also be difficult to acquire. Most of what you see out there is butchered downloads or Nth generation VHS recordings from Cartoon Network puked onto a DVD. If you want a sampler set for you sister, I suggest you go after the "best of" style DVD releases from Australia. There are about 10 volumes of them so far, about 6 shorts per disc (most of season 1). I only have up to 8 at the moment. Sometimes you find them on eBay, or you can try to get them imported from Australia. To make matters worse, most episode guides online are wrong. Bigcvideos 10-07-2006, 10:47 AM does anyone know if the season's 6 and 7 premiere's - smurf quest 1-4 and smurf on the wild side 1-4 - are out there anywere? and all of season 8. I was like 8 or 9 years old the last time I seen these I've never seen them in any dvd or vhs set |
