I was just thinking about a plot line I would've really liked to see.

The show dealt with the issues around an inter-racial friendship through Sam and Meg.

It would have been facinating to see the show deal with an interfaith friendship or even romantic relationship between Patty and someone Jewish.

There have been Jewish characters on the show, but never one who played a major role, or served as a significant love interest. Roxanne's crush on Michal Brooks doesn't count as a serious relationship.

It could work pretty easily too. Radcliffe is in MA, which means she's near a ton of colleges. MIT, Harvard, Brandies, BU, and others I know I'm leaving out.

I miss "American Dreams". I miss seeing what would've happened to the characters.

I would've loved seeing Patty get invovled in the women's rights movement.

In my eyes NBC has redeemed itself a little with "Studio 60 on the sunset strip", but I'm an Aaron Sorkin fan. (sorry I know that's off topic).

Does anyone else agree with me about Patty?

Yeah, that sounds pretty groovy , to think about Patty in those situations. Meg and Roxanne most likely would've gotten into the women's rights movement, too, don't ya think??
I really miss the show, too. I am still boycotting NBC, even though some of the shows sound good, like the one you mentioned, I'm still not gonna watch them.
