I watched 60 Minutes this past Sunday and Ed Bradley interviewed a teenage white boy who's locked up right now for 35 years because him and 3 other white teenage boys beat up a old white homeless man who was 53. They beat him for 3 hours and killed him. Ed asked the white boy why he did it and he said he wanted to have some fun. He's a damn fool and a weirdo. I bet he won't be having fun in prison LOL. If he gets ass raped, he won't be having fun then LOL. There's also some dvd's that have homeless men fighting each other and the dvd's are called Bumfights. The white boy who Ed interviewed said him and his buddies watched Bumfights dvd's and that influenced them to beat up homeless people. It's really a shame that people do weird things to have fun.

This is a product from the rotten society WE created. WE as a society say it's acceptable.....We don't do anything about it.
We live our lives the same way.
We raise our kids the same way.
We elect the same bastards into decision-making offices.
The media gets rid of censors - We accept it. Then you have anything and everything on TV(and DVD). It's only going to get worse.

Those kids are messed up because we messed them up. psychosis, anger displaced vengence(example: Iraq)
Abuse creates abuse until someone breaks the cycle, using their capabilities as a HUMAN being.

Hey Becker, are you aware that Becker is an unlikable character?

Why are you harrassing me?

Why should I be ridiculed for being decent?

Or is it my other messages against the Iraq war? Are your messages the first tactic of SO to push out people who get "out of step"?

Paranoid are we?

I just don't understand people who blame Amercans for everything.

The reasons I think those teenagers did what they did

1. They have no Cable

2. Too Ugly to have Girlfriends

3. No Internet Acess

4.No TV

that's the only way i can explain it. You have to be extremely bored to be messing around with a homeless person

Or maybe extremely stupid. There are more constructive ways to spend your time than beating up homeless people while not having the things above. Whatever happened to reading books, doing homework, listening to music?

Possible, but instead of blaming anyone, the blame needs to fall on the idiots who did the crime, not on society.

They're not just Idiots; they're mentally disturbed.
We've all been bored, but you gotta have built-up anger(which we're spreding) to beat up a random person.
Yes, the kids are to blame, but so is society for creating the conditions for behavior that's more than just "bad" - it shows major mental disturbance!!
I just don't understand people who blame Amercans for everything Well, this one wasn't Iraq's fault. I'd sooner blame Clinton. But globally speaking: There's blame on all sides, but we can better ourselves. We can't better other people.
By society, I'm referring to people("there the same all over" - lesson to be learned in the Twilight Zone). BUT, all the psychologists say it's wrong to see problems in others and not yourself. Nothing ever gets fixed that way. And it's hard to change other people - isn't it?;) That's because they don't see anything wrong with their self, or they would've already changed(and people are stubborn - another flaw....of every nationality).

These things are taught in so many eps of Twilight Zone. Do you disagree with the teachings of Rod Serling:Veteran?
TZ teaches self responsibility: a republican trait.
"The monsters are due on Maple street" - When a street felt threatened(Aliens?), they became monsters themselves - and they did themselves in.
Thank you Czas na Zywiec for not jumping to conclusions.
Why are people so defensive about criticism toward Americans - to the point of "reading into " what people say. It's like political correctness, where you can't say "Black" anymore because black people think your insulting them. So we have to keep changing the wordage. Same with "little people".

In case there's any doubt I am right about society effecting people, here's an example to emphasize my point.

Women & eating disorders.

Does Becker think women are just nuts? Or does Becker not want to think.
Anyone that thinks knows it's our culture that makes women nuts: Ads with skinny women( & photoshopped), ads for diet aids(that don't work), controdictory advice: low carbs(dumb), high fat(huh??), high protein(dangerous).........
Does the rest of the world also have a bunch of girls under 12 forcing themselves to vomit??

It's a scientific fact that people are partly products of their environment.

When you vote nov 7, remember that Becker is a conservative. Conservatives think all's fair. But there's ethical rules even in war; rules being ignored by conservatives running our country.....into the ground.

I'm trying to make sense of your post. Something about thinking women are nuts because I said the people who beat a homeless man was nuts.

I think women are influenced by the models and attractive women on TV, sure they want to be as skinny as those models. That dosen't make them nuts.

The difference is no one is on TV saying that homeless people need to be beat to death. You're comparing apples to oranges.

That is what I inferred from the post. I don't want to take sides in this argument. But when someone says WE AS A SOCIETY, to me that means US PEOPLE, whether we are Americans or not. No matter what, the parents can be blamed, society, the state of affairs of a city, a nation, etc. Bottom line, they can blame who they want, but those boys (white or not) committed a crime and they deserve to be in prison.

Also, Isiah, it's getting old and tired seeing you post BLACK, WHITE in your posts when referencing people. I can see if the race of the persons involved were pertinent to the story, but it wasn't. The fact remains that JUVENILES ASSAULTED AND KILLED A HUMAN BEING. That is the story and a pathetic one at that. Those juveniles get no pity from me.

I'm not suggesting they be pityed, or not punished. I'm saying there will continue to be people beaten, ripped off, killed, etc, as long as society is a source of mental problems AND stupidity.....whether I'm right or you're right. We can do more than just locking criminals up after they ruined people's lives. We can prevent some criminal behavior.

Something about thinking that women are nuts because I said the people who beat a homeless man was nuts.
No. ...thinking that women are nuts because eating disorders are nuts(like thinking 1000 caleries a day will make them too big. That's warped). Probably wasn't a good example to use because most people reading this don't understand normal nutrition.

I'm sure if someone posted "Black Teens killed an all-american teenage girl" he'll be up in arms. There is evil in ALL races.
