Last Consumer REports thign I read on them said that they were about equal, Duracell having a minute edge in some things and Energizer in a few others. I've always used Energizer, but thats just personal preference.

I always use Energizer for my Digital and that usually works good..and long.....Its expensive but its worth to buy them :)

Energizers seem to last me along time..

And they also take it back in ok.. I didnt realise it wasnt good to try and recharge them and they took it fine.. (A few years ago)

Duracell AA and AAA batteries corrode too quickly.

How do they make them so they cant be recharged??

I assume they dont put alot of layers on it so it cant hold new stuff...
