HOLLYWOOD - Boston Legal star Candice Bergen has been released from the hospital and is recovering from an apparent stroke, according to media reports.
The blonde actress reportedly received prompt treatment when she fell ill and avoided lingering damage.

According to veteran Hollywood columnist Janet Charlton, the 60-year-old Bergen is expected to make a full recovery.

Hospital employees claim the former Murphy Brown star was in good spirits and say she was a "delightful and humorous" patient during her hospital stay.

I like Candice. She's had a lot of health issues: a serious stroke in 2006, and she fell and broke her pelvis a couple of years ago.

I think she's struggled with her weight all her life and finally said, **** it, a few years ago. I first noticed in the SEX AND THE CITY movie that she had gained a good deal.

At 66, OP, I think she's holding up better than some.

I noticed her starting to decline looks-wise during "Boston Legal" and in that crap film "Bride Wars" (yes, I watched it, so shoot me!), and it just made me sad. But it happens. I didn't know she was only 66. That puts her in the Meryl-Glenn-Jessica-Sally-Sigourney age range, but I always thought she was closer to Jane Fonda's age group.

I remember the crap that the republicans and the Bush Family put you through...how much stress that might have been when the kid unqualified VP Dan Quayle made crap about your show. (what a loser both the Bush family and Dan Who?(the first Sarah Palin) were and still are.
Wouldn't be surprised if that had a hand in your health declining later on.

What about Obama saying, "I have now been to 57 states."? Have you heard about that?

I feel bad in saying this, but I do wonder if this is why Ms. Bergen has been looking rather bloated and haggard as of late. I don't know if she's on medication or she hasn't bothered to exercise and eat well. But anyway, I remember seeing Candice Bergen on Saturday Night Live when Justin Timberlake hosted for the fifth time (Candice was the first woman to host SNL five times), and in all honesty, I didn't immediately recognize her. It was as if, Candace has aged like 10-15 years at least.

A real beauty since her childhood, Candice was elected both Miss University and Homecoming Queen while studying in Pensylvania. However, this negative body transformation was not the greatest problem induced by the stroke. The actress has admitted that since 2006 her memory has not been the same as it used to.
