Hello all!

Just wanted to echo pavanbadal's sentiments and beseech each and everyone of you to tell Anchor Bay and DLT to release both spin-offs The Ropers and Three's a Crowd on DVD. They need to know that there is a substantial demand for the shows.

Anchor Bay's email: TVonDVD@anchorbayent.com
DLT's email: 3sco@dltentertainment.com

DLT currently holds the rights to the spin-offs and would have to sell/lease the rights to Anchor Bay in order for it to happen so please email both. If Anchor Bay ultimately refuses but DLT sees that there is enough fan interest, most likely they will shop the spin-offs somewhere else until someone releases it.

A simple email would help a lot. It doesn't have to be long or wordy but to the point. In my emails I tried to appeal to both parties by mentioning the potential financial rewards to releasing the spin-offs.

If you want an example to follow, here is what I wrote. I suggest not copying it word for word because they would catch on to it and it would hurt our chances greatly. They'd think it was one person sending in the same email under many aliases and not many fans. That won't help at all. If you're stuck on how to write the email, feel free to use mine as a GUIDE only! Thanks for the help!

To whom it may concern at Anchor Bay,

Please consider releasing the 'Three's Company' spin-offs 'The Ropers'
and 'Three's a Crowd'. Both shows haven't been shown in syndication
for many years, so a huge amount of 'Three's Company' fans have yet to
see the spinoffs. I think many would buy the shows not only out of loyalty
but out of curiousity, simply because they probably have never seen them
before. Also, fans of Chrissy Snow/Suzanne Somers who think there's nothing
left would want to check out 'The Ropers', simply because it has a few episodes
with the original trio and Larry as guest-stars. Fans would love this and
this would make a great selling point on the cover to the DVD release!

The time to release the spinoffs is perfect as well since all 'Three's
Company' seasons are out already. Fans that are hungry for more 'Three's
Company' material are going to want to collect anything else that may be
available. There is little to lose and much to be gained by releasing the
spin-offs.

Please make this and other 'Three's Company' fans happy (as well as your
stockholders!) and release the spin-offs. It's an easy win-win situation.

Respectfully,

Thanks to the everyone who has taken the time to email thus far. I just wanted to bring to light that I got a response from someone at Anchor Bay:

I'm sorry, but we don't own those titles.

Rose Marie Zivkovich
Brand Manager- TV on DVD/Fitness
Anchor Bay Entertainment
Roseanne Season 5- Available DVD 9/12

Anchor Bay is claiming that they don't own the titles to the spin-offs. No mention is made of whether they'd like to or are planning to in the near future. But here is where we can make a difference. If more and more fans start emailing them, they'll see that there is a serious interest in the spin-offs. They'll negotiate the sale of the titles with DLT and we'll get the shows on DVD. But they need to know that there is an interest here. They need to know that they'll make money by releasing the spin-offs. So please, everyone, keep those emails coming!

Thanks again!

Yeah, I received nearly the same email as Edster2973:

I’m sorry, but we do not own the rights to these shows.

But, I will try the other emails.

Anyone else have any ideas how we could get more people to email DLT & Anchor Bay about the spin-offs? I think we should try www.imdb.com for the listings of the shows in the message boards, as well as www.youtube.com (for anything Three's Company related) and www.tvshowsondvd.com . Anyone else think of anything? I really think that if we make enough noise, we could actually get the spin-offs released.

Anyone?

P.S. Thanks to everyone who has emailed thus far. You're the greatest!

Tell Anchor Bay to please get the rights to the spinoffs to release on DVD when they say that one liner to you.

Good idea. I will reply and let them know.

Hopefully this will do some good. I just hope it doesn't go to just that one woman and she ends up deleting it. Hopefully enough noise will be made that the suggestions from us will be taken seriously. I'm up for anything at this point. I want my The Ropers DVD set (Norman & Audra deserve the honor!) as well as my Three's a Crowd DVD set. Since the supporting casts from each series are still alive, we could also get some nice interviews and/or commentaries from each of the casts. It could turn out to be really something special.

Let's do this folks!

I believe the company should jump at ANYTHING John Ritter related. I mean "Hearts Afire" is on DVD, why not "Three's A Crowd"? (and don't go into how it lasted longer! :p)

Other stuff that can be done and may actually help...

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com

Go there, register an account, find the Ropers and Three's A Crowed and vote for each to come to dvd. It's worked on other shows and Gordon Lacy (I think that's his name) seems to have pretty good ties with the people that release shows on DVD... and they seem to take voting on his site somewhat seriously.

I realize maybe that's what you were aiming at in mentioning the site... but I figured what the heck I'll take it one step forward and let people know what specificly they can do.

Posting on IMDB might help... so... I guess try there too.
