This afternoon Me-Tv showed the episode "I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can" in which Jo and Blair take Mrs. G to a strp club for her birthday and Blair learns that her boyfriend, Cliff, is a dancer there. What a terrible episode. Facts doesn't have too many bad episodes, but this one was truly terrible. Does anyone have any opinions on this episode?

It's been a while since I watched the episode, like 4 years or so, but from what I can remember I enjoyed it.

I thought everyone would agree with me. "I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can' was the first Facts episode (with the possible exception of "Brian and Sylvia") that I outright hated.

Thankfully today's episode, "Advanced Placement" (where Natalie takes a course at Langley and starts hanging out with Boots), was much, much better. :)

wow, i actually really REALLY like this episode!!! I think it's HILARIOUS that they actually take mrs. g to a strip club, i mean of all the places... and the fact that nat and tootie were all like... did you get pictures? did you get pictures of the naked men? priceless.... and i mean, it was SOOO cute when jo asks mrs. g what she would do if she found out her bf was as stipper, and she just had a gleam in her eyes and was like, i'm thinking about it... hehe, so cute!!! i think it was a great change of pace... but season 5 and the first part of season 6 ar elike one of my favorite seasons!!!

Overall I am really enjoying season five. I think it is one of my favorite seasons too. Still, I don't see the appeal of "I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can".

BECUZ YOU'RE A GUY MIKE:) (JUST KIDDING)

ALTHOUGH, I MUST ADMIT, IT DID SEEM A LITTLE OUT OF CHARACTER, I THOUGHT, ESPECIALLY FOR JO. I ALWAYS DEEMED HER A WOMAN OF HIGHER STANDARDS.

I ALSO MUST ADMIT I WAS TAKEN TO A STRIP CLUB YEARS AGO, TOO. MANY, MANY YEARS AGO, AND WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN. GUYS WERE CUTE, BUT EMBARASSING. I WAS EMBARRASSED FOR ME AND THEM. BUT..THAT'S THE FACTS OF LIFE. LIVE & LEARN-HOPEFULLY

JO, you're probably right about my dislike of this episode having something to do with the fact that I'm a guy. Seeing men dancing around in skimpy shorts is not exactly my idea of a good time.

I also agree with you regarding Jo being out of character. I think Mrs. Garrett was out of character as well. I just cound not see either Jo and Mrs. Garrett enjoying themselves at a stripclub. I think the episode would have worked a little better if it had been Blair and Boots who went to the club. I say "a little better", because I still would not want to see the guys in those shorts.

NOW, IF JO WAS STILL IN THE BIZ OF MAKING HER FAKE ID'S, NATALIE & TOOTIE WOULD'VE BEEN IN THE FIRST ROW:eek2:

This isn't one of my favorites, but I don't dislike it either.

I also don't really think it was out of character for Mrs. G. She always tended to get a bit flustered over young hot men.

As for Jo, she was pretty reserved and almost shy about it, so that seemed in character to me.

If anything I thought it was the most out of character for Blair in a way. Just meaning that she would have probably thought a seedy strip club was beneath her and her upbringing.

But I didn't really think it was that out of character for any of them. I mean, if they had written like Blair or Jo dancing on the table or something than I would agree.

Holy banana oil! (Godzilla reference) I don't even remember this espisode! Probably one that Nick at Nite didn't play! It doesn't sound very FOL but then again any episode with Blair is ok by me. Hrrm, worst episode? I hated Brian and Sylvia too, wasnt very well written. But There were a few, do you remember the talking kangaroo? Or how about the little lost spanish girl and suddenly nobody spoke spanish? Ie. Both Blair and Nat spoke espanol in earlier shows. Still all the episodes have something. At least Richard Dean Anderson was in "Brian and Sylvia"
