Hi,

I've noticed on a few of my Brady Bunch season DVDs that under the light of the discs you can see these cloudy botch spots that look as if your disc is completely ruined. I take care of all my DVDs but noticed today that Season 4, Disc 3-4 are completely like the way i described, I've heard of this problem once before but now im worried my discs may not work. Season 3 also has a few of the spots on the discs, The rest of the seasons are fine, but this problem may occur on them too. Could everyone who has The Brady Bunch on DVD check to see if your discs have the same problem? They look like Coffee stain spots but worse. I have no idea how this could happen, My DVDs are always handled with care!

Hi Trace! I have some good news for you...you've got nothing to worry about! While I can't really explain what causes this, I can tell you that it has no lasting effects what so ever. I am also one who take VERY good care of my DVDs and CDs and I have seen exactly what you discribe on both DVDs and audio CDs in my collection. Many of the CDs and DVDs that have this kind of blotchy pattern on them were there since purchase, and some of I seemed to notice after I had them for a while. Still, I have DVDs that have been this way for years and years now and they still work as well as the day I got them. Just keep the bottom dust and scratch free and your DVDs and CDs should last a lifetime..and then some! ;)

Thank you :) I went ahead and skimmed through one of the discs and it played perfect, No problems. Guess my worriness gets the best of me sometimes. I appreciate your reply!
