I was just looking through my pictures and I found this:

There are probably similar ones online, but I took this one myself in 2000. Seeing that house was like being in the presence of a major celebrity. Even more so since I'm not very impressed with celebs.

We got the address out of a book, we were driving down the street looking for it and almost passed it up. It's so inconspicuous nestled in there with its neighbor houses. So tiny. But the moment I saw it I was in awe. The real Brady house! I wanted to knock on the door, hoping the the home owner would invite me in, but I didn't.

You'll notice the fence they added. That's the reason they had to build a replica shell of the house for the Brady Bunch movies. The owner didn't want to remove the fence for filming.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Hey, nice photo! I've never been to the actual house, but if I ever did go to visit LA or that area, that would definatly be one of my stops. It's also possible to get an arial shot on google earth.

I've never even thought about looking for it via Google Earth. Great idea. I'll have to find the address.

It's located not far from Universal Studios. Out of everything I did on that trip, and I did a lot, seeing the BB house in person was the highlight! And it was free.

Here is the full address for the real Brady Bunch house:

11222 Dilling St. North Hollywood, 91602

You'll recognize it right away, I'm sure.

Oh and if you're intrested, you can also see Sherwood Schwartz home on Google Earth. I tried it once with his address, but I forget what it is now...:(

Thanks! I like how the garage sets toward the back of the house which I didn't notice before, like in the show. It's so architecturally impossible with the floor plan, but that's part of its charm. The "Full House" house is the same way.
