Lucky Lucky Lucky
BTW I am in the process of getting her on the 1962 series It's a Man's World. I found someone who has both episodes with her on it. This was part of my GI Holy Grail for a while. I am also getting the one with Russell Johnson too
"It's a Man's World" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055680/) (2 episodes)
Chicago Gains a Number (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0613100/) (1 January 1962) - Actress
The Bravest Man in Cordella (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0613101/) (1 January 1962) - Actress
Bonsai 09-24-2006, 10:34 AM No offense to Judith Baldwin, who I think did a fine job as Ginger #2, but when I saw the subject line of this thread, I was hoping that Tina had softened her attitude about things like this and had agreed to appear with Dawn....
....oh well :typing:

It could have been worse, it could have been Dawn Wells and Jane Webb (Ginger on the New Adventures of Gilligan) ;)

Yeah, lucky is right. :) Don't forget to type a message and I'll give it to her. You can say anything you want in the message except propose to her (leave that to me). ;)

Glad you are getting that. Let's see... 1962... that means she was only 24 years old. :happyface

Ok, I will try to think of something.
I'll send you a copy of the show if you want it.

Okay, there is plenty of time.
I'll send you a copy of the show if you want it.
That depends. How does she look in the show? :)
gilligan fanatic 09-27-2006, 08:45 PM That depends. How does she look in the show? :)
I'l let you know when it comes in.
Is it possible for her to look bad? ;)
gilligan fanatic 09-30-2006, 09:03 PM Well I got in the complete series today and she has a very important rooll in "The Bravest Man in Cordella" but I couldn't find her in Chicago Gains a Number, she isn't listed on the end credits but she could be in a scene and not have a speaking roll or something. I will have to actually watch the episode to spot her if she is even in it.

NO!
Fleet 10-12-2006, 10:20 PM Don't forget... if anyone here wants to send a message to Dawn, I'll hand deliver it this weekend at the autograph show. ;)

Fleet, I just want to know if she made any pilots that weren't sold and if she wishes that she had another sitcom besides GI.
Edit: Forgot the L in Fleet-lol

How can I not have a fun weekend when I'll be talking to "Mary Ann?" :D
Fleet 10-14-2006, 08:51 PM Okay, I got back from the autograph show a few hours ago. I looked around and found where Dawn was.
At first there were about 5 people by her table. So I walked around the room to find other celebs. About 5 mintues later I returned to Dawn's table and there was only one person there.
First, I picked out a color photo of the entire "Gilligan's Island" cast for her to sign. (I'll post the photo later.)
Then I asked Matt's (gilligan fanatic) two questions, which she answered.
Q. Were you ever in an unsold pilot.
A. No.
Q. Did you wish that you had another sitcom besides GI?
A. Sure.
One more:
Q. Will you go out with me?
A. Of course!
(Just kidding... :D )
Then I gave her some photos I took off the TV. I said to her here are more and if she remembered the last batch I gave her and she said yes. She even asked another fan who was standing by me if he could fine-tune the photos. He said he could try and she gave him one she picked out.
I then gave her copies of the first few pages of some SO threads. It was these:
"Describe the characters in two words" (She liked the answer I put: "Wow!")
"My favorite Mary Ann outfit"
"How old were the characters supposed to be"
(BTW, I asked her that question and she said that "Mary Ann" was around 19 years old.)
"Great photo of Mary Ann" She asked where I found that photo and I told her I would look it up and send a copy to her by email. She said just tell her what she can do to thank me. A few things immediately popped into my head. ;)
I wasn't prepared for that! But I said okay. (Now what should I ask for?) It boggles the mind.
I did take one photo of her and that was about it. It was nice to talk to her again. I'm not sure if I'll go there tomorrow... maybe.

Thanks for asking for me, I am suprised. I wonder why CBS didn't want to keep her after GI.
That is nice she remembered you. Looks like your weekend was a lot better than mine. ;)
GingerGilligan 10-15-2006, 11:11 PM Wow, that's cool! I wonder if Dawn read anything I wrote. (I remember writing in at least one of those threads). I forget what I wrote exactly though...
Ireneparalegal 10-16-2006, 12:15 AM   :clap
Fleet 10-16-2006, 01:46 AM Here are two photos I took of Dawn.
The top one was taken on Saturday and the bottom one today. :)
caladon 10-16-2006, 02:59 PM You sure wouldn't guess from looking at her that she's not in her 30's. She still can turn heads.
And here's an interesting juxtaposition, after checking with imdb.com, it turns out that she's currently four years older than Natalie Schafer was when GI first aired.
She must've found the fountain of youth on that island.
Jack77 02-17-2007, 06:33 PM Any more photos from that day fleet?
Fleet 02-24-2007, 08:14 PM Yes, I took a few of the autograph table. I'll post them later. :)
