My dad's birthday is coming up and I thought I'd get him season 1 or one of the other earlier seasons. He's seen the episodes multiple times, so I was wondering if there good extras included that really make it worth the money?

Thank you, TV DVD fan! I'll consider it for sure. I'll have to find a sneaky way of asking him which season he likes best without him suspecting anything.

I suggest reminding him of a really good episode and see what his response is. Then go for another one from the same season... that'll be the best indicator. I started with season two, and honestly, I think that that's the way to go to start out. Then I bought seasons three and four, then six, and I've yet to buy five (the only real reason why some of them are out of order are because of pricing and availability). Season two just had the strongest episodes that stand out the most (like "Job Switching", "Lucy Is Enceinte", and "Lucy Goes To The Hospital").

I think the sets are wonderful even if you've seen each episode many times before because of the superior picture quality and restored scenes.
