View Full Version : Hey Gilligan fans....new Steve Cox book out on THE MUNSTERS
coxwriter 09-20-2006, 12:54 AM Hey folks,
If you liked the book I co-wrote with Russell Johnson ("Here on Gilligan's Isle") years ago, you just may get a big kick out of my newest, just hitting the shelves: "The Munsters: A Trip Down Mockingbird Lane" (Watson-Guptill Publishing/Backstage Books). It's a massive new book with color pages throughout, never before published cast interviews, behind the scenes photos, and lots of surprises! If you're a Munsters fan, you'll be blown away by this new book. I hope so, anyway. (So....for the trivia buffs: Which of the more frequent Gilligan guest stars appeared also on The Munsters, but in voice only?)
Steve Cox
answer: Vito Scotti.
Hey Steve, giving any away?
gilligan fanatic 09-21-2006, 01:52 PM as a matter of fact I did like Here on GI. Has a lot more rare pictures than some of the other books
coxwriter 09-21-2006, 02:46 PM Hey, thanks, Matt. I try to hunt for the best photos in my books. Illustrations drive most of my books. And you're in for a treat with the new Munsters book. The color reproductions are stunning. No other way to put it.

gilligan fanatic 09-21-2006, 09:34 PM Mr Cox, you don't happen to know if Russell Johnson filmed any unsold TV pilots do you?
coxwriter 09-21-2006, 09:55 PM Hi Matt, you don't have to be so formal and call me "Mr. Cox". (I'm just 40). I don't remember Russ discussing any unsold pilots but I can check with him. Has anyone ever found anything about a pilot made in the 60s called, "My Son, the Witchdoctor" ? It starred (or was to star) Artie Johnson, pre-Laugh In, and it was a to be a sitcom made by Filmways Television.
gilligan fanatic 09-22-2006, 01:39 PM Try the trading post (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=168)here, it is amazing what things people have. I have gotten a hold of a ton of things through it.
