Carrie, I just got the same e-mail today and I've already pre-ordered mine! I can't wait for it to come! This set will go great with our The Dick Van Dyke Show collection!

My first reaction to this was I didn't think I wanted all seasons at once. But then I remembered how Fox treated us "M*A*S*H" fans who bought the individual season sets with no extras only to find out the complete set with all the extras is being released. I've decided I will get the "Get Smart" Complete Series set. Thanks Time-Life!

I plan to buy SEason by Season instead of The Complete Box Series.

ditto; that price is too high for me.

The only way I was able to get the complete set was by using Time-Life's payment plan. They space them out over 4 months.

I agree.

When I ordered, there was an option to pay over 4 months. It's $59.99 for the first month, then $49.99 each for the next 3 months. That might be the way to go if you would like to get the complete set right away. :)

I e-mailed Time-life about when they will be releasing Seasons and here is what they said:
Thank you for contacting Time-Life Music and Video. I will be glad to assist you in this matter.

Plans are not firm at this time, but we may sell individual seasons as early as November, or we may wait until the first quarter of 2007.

Thank you for choosing Time-Life, and if there is anything else I can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

It'll work out cheaper getting the whole series at once but I was impressed by the telephone box packaging. Looks good.

I think that is pretty clever the way they did the box art.

For everyone who does not know what will be featured with the Get Smart dvd sets, I have posted some information below about all of the great extras that will be included. All of this and more can also be found at WouldYouBelieve.com/dvd.html. The complete dvd set can only be pre-ordered at Time-Life by going to GetSmartOnDVD.com. I asked a moderator that question, and here is what he said:Roseanne S5 is coming soon, AB has sent it a bit late. We are trying for Get Smart, though that will be hard since it is a complete series set

The only problem I have with getting the whole series at once is if there's a disc with a problem and it's on disc 5 of the fifth series it might be awhile before I discover it. I hope there's a reasonable warranty period.

I"m sure there is. We had a problem with the 5th season of The Dick Van Dyke Show. Some of the discs had white spots all over them. As far as I know, they are still replacing discs for people who are having problems and those were released in 2004.

The clip was awesome! They did a wonderful job with the restoration. You can also check it out here (http://www.wouldyoubelieve.com/dvd.html). It's 1 minute and 40 seconds and well worth it! :)

Did anyone else find the volume very low on the clip?
That's an excellent large photo of the dvd's as well. I noticed there was no spine writing on the volumes though. And only 2 volumes with 99. Still it's what's inside that counts, I guess.

Carrie

I noticed that the volume was low too. I had to turn the volume up on my computer all the way to 100% to hear it. I'm sure it was only because it was compressed though.

I remember back in 1991, I bought a big multi-pak of VHS tapes and set my alarm every night for 7 days in order to record Maximum Smart off of Nick-At-Nite. What a joy it will be to have the whole series on DVD! The extras look really good, too. :)

By happy coincidence, this is the time of year at my job where we can cash in accrued vacation time, so that will be paying for mine.

unfortunataly; it now looks like I'll have to wait until after the holidays to get it. And then; I'll have to use the payment plan.
