What did eveyone think? I'm actually new to Survivor (long time Big Brother and Amazing Race fan) so this is my first time watching the show. (I needed a show to ifll in while Big Brother is off the air, but at least Amazing Race is back :D) I've been reading how everyone is so unimpressed with the new twist and how people will shout it's all racist and blah blah but I actually really like it. I think it'll be interesting how things will progress the next couple of weeks.

And I'm rooting for the Green team. I don't care if they think the older guy's jokes are lame, I like him. :)

I don't know. I've watched every season of Survivor....it just feels tired...it's almost as if this whole "racial twist" is the only twist, and it will cease to be an issue in a few weeks when the teams merge...watching it, the ppl were relatively forgetable so far (except for the idiot chick who let out the chickens, but whatever)...the challenge was just a ridiculous mix of ideas...i really just didn't care for it...maybe it's just me.

I liked it pretty well. Compared to the last couple of seasons I thought it was an improvement(you have to admit, whether you liked the new "twist" the old format was getting, well, old). Exile Island looks 100 times worse this year.

It's hard to form opinions about people when you have 20 on the show, but it'll get better.

Liked it so far, as they made no big deal about the race thing
At least not the castaways
Jeff Probst can be a jerk at times being a smart aleck
But all in all, I find it really good
Except for that girl who let out the chickens
If her tribe(And I refuse to name them by race)goes to tribal council
She will, IMO, have a huge target on her back.

I personally loved it. The entire cast was enjoyable. We had a ton of confessionals, unlike recent seasons. The opening credits got a face lift and looked awesome. The editing reminded me of Season 1, somewhat.

Let's see if it continues into the second episode.

Survivor" led off the night for CBS with a 10.1/17, which puts it among the least-watched premieres of any of its 13 cycles. A "Grey's Anatomy" rerun was second for ABC at 5.1/9. The duo of "'Til Death," 4.3/7, and "Happy Hour," 3.5/6, put FOX in third, ahead of two super-sized reruns of "My Name Is Earl" on NBC. "Smallville" scored a 1.2/2 for The WB.

i will say this

the African American Team is reallllll bad
they are a bunch of buffoons

i predict that they will all be gone by the time of the merger and that will
look pretty bad to most viewers

thats a drawback of these gimmicky things
they can come back to bite u---
people will be mad if the first 5 gone , are all black!

No, it doesn't matter if they are black or white or purple. If they are gone, that means it's because they weren't as strong as the other teams/competitors, not that black people aren't as strong as whites or Asians. People in this country nitpick about race waaaaaaay too much and turn every innocent thing into a huge deal.

The first episode was kind of boring in my opinon, It's just hard because there is too many people to get to know anyone. I liked the second one better. I just can't believe that they threw the compition, it was such a stupid move. It was also funny how they threw it so obviously. I was hoping they would turn it around and vote out Ozzy, but that wouldn't really be a smart move. Man that Billy guy is kind of crazy. I feel sorry for him thinking that he has found the love of his life.
