In the episode "The Big Desk" (I think that's the title), where Allison comes to work at Sugarbakers...

This is a two-part episode. We know that Charlene is going to go meet the Queen of England. However, I have not seen (since the original airing) the second-half of the episode. I can't remember why the visit turned into Charlene moving to England.

Can anyone fill me in on this? Why has this episode never aired in syndication?

It did air on syndication. I remember seeing it on Lifetime (Admittedly, it's been a while, but know I saw it.) From what I can recall, Bill got stationed in England, and that's why they moved. There may have been more to it than that, but in short it was that they moved b/c Bill was stationed overseas w/ the air force.

Charlene and Bill did a house swap with a some people in England and when Bill's tour of Duty was over in England, it was said, that they decided to stay over in England.

From what I've seen on Lifetime, Allison comes in, meets the women, Charlene talks about what she'll say to the queen... and then it's over. The second-half of the episode (if I recall correctly) started with the stripper, and ended with Allison's desk being chopped down... but no good-bye to Charlene.

It will be interesting to see if N@N shows this episode when DW starts in October.

Didn't Jean Smart leave unexpectedly which is why there was no real goodbye? Or ... someone fill me in about that.

From what I recall, the original plan was to have Charlene make some guest appearances on the show after JS officially quit, but the producers decided against it because (it is said) that JS wanted too much money for the said appearances.
