View Full Version : Debbie Allen on Good Times?
felicitylen 09-13-2006, 04:52 PM Last night I watched the episode where JJ wanted to marry a young woman named Diane. I swear, the woman playing Diane looked like Debbie Allen. I've seen the episode several times, but I never noticed the actress until last night. Can anyone confirm or deny if it was her?

I'm surprised you would say something like that to me. After sending you articles in the mail and posting the Jet Photo of Janet Dubios, I thought i had enough credibility to be taken setriously when I post things I read in old Jet Mags. I guess Not

ThedySueHill 09-20-2006, 04:05 PM She looked different on "Good Times". The first time I saw her on the show, I had to look it up to make sure.

Yes, that was her. The episode was "J.J.'s Fiancee". It was a 2-part episode and one of my favorites! When it first aired, I paid no attention to the fact that it was her (of course, I was around five or six at the time so I wouldn't have noticed who it was) but when I watched the rerun a couple weeks ago, I was floored! She did an awesome job playing the runaway junkie. It was the one time I actually felt sorry for J.J.'s character.

Of course she looked different. She was only in her 20's then. We all look different now than we did 20 or 30 years ago.
