September 11th sucks for so many reasons now (actually late August to the first two weeks of Sept. really suck - the loss of Diana, Steve Irwin, John and of course the terror attacks). I can't help but get sad during this time.

Just woke this morning and am pausing to remember the things that have happened on Sept. 11th and couldn't forget our beloved John and his family.

We still love you and miss you and thank you for making our lives a little happier.

September 11th is such an awful day for me. Of course, in 2001, the terrorist attacks occured. Then in 2003, no one expected funny man John Ritter to go. I get sad when ever any celebrity I like dies, but I never, ever cried so hard over a celebrity as I did for John Ritter. I loved him for yeears on "Three's Company" (Re-runs of course, I'm too young) and I watched "8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter". I watch the 'Good-bye' episode and cry so hard. I will most likely watch it today. So sad :( such a good and funny man. Make everyone in heaven laugh John. :( RIP!

I'm glad you posted this. End of Aug/this whole month so far SUCKS! :( It has been a whole week since Steve died. I'm heartbroken over that, to me it is a huge loss like John's death to me. Today not only John's death but his daughters b-day. I'd hope someone (news) would mentioned John's death or at least his b*day coming up, have a tribute or something. I'm glad know that I am not the only person feeling very sad. Coming here and sharing my feelings and reading other feelings helps me. So I Thank You.

LOVE You John
LOVE you Steve
Both will be in my thought and prayers everyday.

Same here, usually I'm a fairly "upbeat" person, but this time of the year now always depresses me. And yeah, couldn't believe Steve's death. I mean, I know he was always in the line of danger, but some people you feel are invincible somehow. I keep thinking of Terry, Bindi and Bob and all the good Steve did. His enthusiasm for life and living things and what a fluke his death was. I can just picture him up there looking down, saying, "Crikey! That was a GOOOOOOrgeous Stingray and it was my own fault for getting too close Mate! Don't do this yourself!".
It doesn't help that the 13th is the 11th anniversary of me having to put one of my best friends in life down - a cat that I had for twenty years.

Just thinking of all the great people we've lost during this 4 week period or so. And yeah, John's daughter's birthday is today too isn't it?

And a year ago tomorrow, I'll be at my "new" job for one year. I like it, but it sure cut into my SO posting time and ability~!

That's what I love about SO - when you think no one else is thinking like you, you can come here and there's always someone else who feels the same....

I loved John, and like many of you, his death had a deep impact on me. I also cried as though I had lost a close family member or friend. :crying:

I felt a little of that same feeling when I heard about Steve Irwin. These were two men with wives and children, two men who seemed to approach everything they did with such joy and enthusiasm. And both were taken far too soon. :(

RIP. You'll not be forgotten! :rip:

Tripperfan:
On Aug.27- 10 years ago now, i had to put down my baby dog Scooter. I had her since she was three months old. She lived to be 20 years old. She was my BEST FRIEND, my baby, my whole life. I still cry to this day, i miss her so much. I feel your pain.
I loved your comments about Steve. They laid him to rest on Sat at the zoo. They said it was an upbeat gathering because that is how Steve would have wanted it. I too keep thinking about Bindi,Bob, Terry. My heart goes to them especially to the animals who are use to him. But i'm sure he is in heaven with his dog that he loved dearly. I'm so scattered brain this month i can't remember the dogs name. It just hurts to know we will not see him again.
I guess we will see John/Steve throu reruns.

It is amazing that we both have gon thru the same things and dread this month. Thanks for posting!

I Love John Ritter

3 years without John Ritter...miss you, John :crying:

Such a shame that a person with such talent had to be taken away from this earth so soon.

I know I don't post here regularly, but yeah I have to agree that the end of August and beginning of September are not the greatest times of year. Hasn't been for quite a while it seems. Well, anyway, I just wanted to post my tribute to John here...............

I make wallpapers all the time for my yahoo group. The link is in my signature. Banners are something I'm still getting the hang of. Thank you for the compliments though and I'm very glad to hear the Steve banner helped.
