Just wanted to share some bit of news with all of you. I just got a nifty HOGAN item in the mail today, which I just won on Ebay. It's a "Valerie" cast & crew jacket. Here's the URL so you can all have a peak:

Yeah, I thought that was odd myself. Maybe it was to draw fans of both versions of the show? There are fans of the show who started watching when Sandy was already on, and they never knew or cared about Valerie Harper before that. So to clear up some of the confusion and to draw more of an interest to the auction, they probably settled on saying "starring Jason Bateman"...

All 3? Naah. Danny Ponce was cute when he was little, mostly during the VALERIE period, but he, like Jeremy, lost some of the puffiness in his face, especially towards the end of the series, which wasn't good. Both guys were never fat or overweight, and I think the childlike puffiness made them all the more endearing.

Jeremy still looked good with or without it, but Danny seemed a little (and forgive me for offending anyone by saying this) ape-ish the older he grew. I don't know how else to put it. I'm not intentionally knocking him, of course, but expressing an honest opinion.

You know it was rumored that during the HOGAN FAMILY years, Danny dabbled into drugs and alcohol (I don't remember if this was verified; naturally, I hope it was made up), a claim said to be made by his mother. Maybe that had something to do with his appearance? Who knows?

In any case, sorry to go long-wind on you, but I'll take Jason (definitely!!!) and Jeremy, and the rest of you can have Danny, along with Mr. Poole and Grandpa Hogan. Sound like a fair trade?

I'm in the process of trying to develop one for Jason, spotlighting the shortlived shows he's been in and other things. It'll connect with my HOGAN FAMILY page, much like Valerie's CITY page. Not sure when it'll happen, 'cause I have tons of stuff that I need to update the HOGAN sections with, but certainly something will develop eventually.

Yeah, but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility. Jeremy we know is in California, and since you already have somewhat of a rapport with him, maybe a 20 minute meet and greet with him could be arranged.

Anyone know where Jason and Danny are located? That might be fun to do now that I think of it. Arrange a trip where we visit them...

It sure would be a great b-day gift, and it'd be nice for me since that would be around a year after I met Valerie Harper!

Sure, LA would be hard to get to, but I tend to think that the easiest we make it for Jeremy, Danny and/or Jason, the better our chances. And for me, I think taking a flight to LA is no more or less trouble than a flight to anywhere else. In fact, there are sometimes specials on some airlines where it's actually cheaper to go to LA or California than other parts of the country that are closer.

I think it warrants some investigating. Want me to keep you guys posted to any deals?

Kind of outlandish, but it'd be cool to have this happen...

I would LOVE to make it happen. And you're very right, I'd rather make a big trip out of it and go all out than meet somewhere unwanted without our guests. Besides LA is FUN, and I wanted to go out there for spring break anyway. I think it's definitely worth the investigating and I'll check in with Jeremy, see what he thinks.
