Who Else would like to see Fox go from 15 hrs to 22 hrs...?

I usually think of the big networks to be ABC, CBS, & NBC because they have a full 3 hrs of Primetime a night, I usually think of Fox as a sub par network even tho it has really good shows, This March will be 20 years for Fox and I really think it is time for them to expand to a full Primetime schedule...who agrees?

It would be nice but I doubt they ever will because the local affiliates like to have their local news on at 10. FOX actually has finished in the top 3 twice so they aren't really subpar.

Count me among those who would NOT want Fox to go to 22 hours. In fact, count me among those who wants Fox to go to 0 (yes, ZERO!!!) hours! I do not care at all for their programming, especially American Dad, Family Guy, and The Simpsons. They should concentrate on their "fair and balanced" news and dump their entertainment division.

I'm still outraged that they had the audacity to bring back Family Guy. :mad: Why this show is still on and not Joan of Arcadia or Three Wishes is beyond me. :livid: In a previous thread about this network two ways I had to improve it involved letting the Parents Television Council or PAX (now "i") run it. :rant:

Well I know it's not subpar as It has great shows like 24, House, The Simpsons & Family Guy (Im sorry I can't even call AI good) but I always think of it as lesser value because of the smaller schedule time, I feel the same way about CW howver they are subpar and I couldn't imagine them with 22 hrs of programming...

I agree with you about AI. If they expanded they would probably give us more hours of that. lol

I would like them to do it only because then they would have 3 hours a night and then they wouldn't be winning A18-49 I bet. But then again I don't want them doing it because I'm sure there would be a few special 3-hour American Idol episodes.

Assuming "AI" means American Idol I find that to be a bright spot for the Fox network. :cool:

They should, and they should fill those 10:00 o'clock hours with slightly edited versions of "Rescue Me," "The Shield," "Nip/Tuck," and "It's Always Sunny..."

I wouldn't want FOX to expand, there's too much on to see right now that I can't keep up with anymore.

I don't think they should do it.....because I wouldn't want my FOX29 news at 10 to be taken away...

I don't think they should. They have a formula that works and I'm afraid if they expand another hour we might get more crap instead of quality programming.

Or (get this for a loony concept), instead of inhibiting our enjoyment of our favorite shows, parents can be responsible, and take an active role in what their kids watch, instead of relying on censorship lobbyists like the Parents Television Council.

I don't want to see that happen. FOX is fine the way it is. It's worked for over 20 years now ... why fix something that isn't broken?

I also happen to enjoy the news at 10:00PM. I rarely watch anything at 10 except reruns so ... it works for me.

What I am surprised is that FOX hasn't tried to launch a 6:30 major newscast.

Of course, I'd like to see them try a daytime lineup. A talk show and maybe two half-hour soaps would be efficient.

Its "fair and balanced" format could yield more ratings than the Big Three's evening news shows COMBINED!!!

Doesn't Fox also not program at 10 p.m., at least during their early years, as means of getting around FCC requirements:

I kind of consider FX's original programming to the the defacto, 10 p.m. Fox programming.

Fox should've added a 10pm hour the moment it became a major network. I would've loved to see the network have as many shows as the Big Three. I'm not saying they should be exactly like the Big Three because I never wanted them to aired daytime soaps or a evening newscast, but we needed more innovative shows back then, and Fox was the only network that was willing to give us that. Now it's too late for them to expand because network shows no longer do very well at 10pm, especially now that they're being counter-programmed by quality cable shows.

The one thing that does surprise me that Fox still doesn't have a late-night talk show. I know they failed with Joan Rivers and Chevy Chase, but that was when they were a small station. Too bad Conan chose TBS over Fox.

From my immediate understanding, Fox told Conan O'Brien that they wouldn't give him an 11:00 p.m. spot (at least at first, but maybe they would let him be on FX) because their affiliates at the time didn't want to give up on the lucractive rerun money that stuff like Seinfeld provided.
