Well I was contacted by them tonight 3x




They contacted me, in request I remove them from the "trade with caution" area of Sitcoms.
Stating that since they are not a member here, I can not add them.

I disagree, and have as in the past always updated this list to those who are bad sellers
bad traders
And suspicious behavior.

The fact is

Their IP does in fact route to NY
while their address states Florida

They are only asking people to send first

They have shows NO one has seen on a list in a decade

And no one has any dealings with them
No feedback nor can they find a membership for them on any site.
And yet, they contacted to date, at least a dozen users-

So whiel they told me tonight they are not ON this site
They don't mind hwoever using the site to contact members-

This site was designed to provide a safe trading harbor for users
with modeartors, owners, administrators to help avoid scamming, and manipulative or deceptive behavior

The information - such as emails and lists are a privledge to those members, here-
to set up safe trades.

To contact users, and read the site,without being a member- to try to set up trades offering no security-
goes against the very idea of the system we have in place.
And therefore I stand my ground and will not remove them from the list.

As well they are on 2 Yahoo Scammer Alert lists, as well as 2 private sites I frequent.
So why they are selecting this site, makes me wonder
as has the rest of their behavior thus far.

However, I stand by the fact I feel contacting members on a site you are not registered to, asking them to send first and set up a trade that has no protection, IS SUSPICIOUS.

it looks bad
they have no references, and are not doing much to prove or defend themselves

if they have all this stuff, then SURELY they must have traded before
with someone????

and if they want to make good and prove themselves, then do a trade and send first---- be safe and trade with a well known trader and send first

its not unusal to mail items on sundays

i do it almost every week

many areas have 24 hour counter service and yes even on sundays


now if this person mails anything is a complete different issue

I give them credit for confronting me and not hiding.


And I told them the same thing I tell other traders/people in this position

THIS board is set up to prove YOU with a safety.
Not perfect, but there is a goal.
Feedback is a reputation-
And the lists are refrences-
Just like any business or hobby has.

Payla etc.
Things are built up up registering, and verifying things as best they can
Allowing transactions with some steps of precaution-
Allowing feedback to help alleviate owrries and or to help boost a rpeutation for freedom and safety later on
And owners/moderators to keep an eye on things and if need be step in or even remove people

This user, wants to SKIP all the safety nets-
SKIP all the rules
SKIP all the work and effort.

They want to contact users here, while they themselves aren't a user.
Set up trades, recieving first, as they don't want to get scammed

If they are worried about getting scammed, why not JOIN a community, so that you have some protection
the fact he wants people to send first, out of protection to himself
but not joint he community to offer protection to anyone else is selfish and self satisifying.
The fact the users here, have built up a reputation, have numerous areas of feedback
have multiple trades and experience under their wings- and this person, feels - that with that reputation and experience, he is owed, the convienience of no risk.

If he wante to exchange with one person- I MIGHT understand, not wanting to go through the hassle of joining a group - or not wanting to be part of a community for one thing

There are many "sports" that out rank hockey but it does not make them better. The US beats Canada in population by more than 10 times so of course if it is not popular there the ratings are lower.

When the Blue Jays won the World series in 91 & 92 it was one of the lowest rated playoffs in history. Did baseball all of a sudden become a sucky sport or maybe the lack of interest in the US lowered the ratings.

Hockey has never been marketed well in the US and with Gary Bettman running the show he has screwed the game and its ratings.

I watch all sports and there can bed some damn boring hockey games but the are twice as many crappy 7-3 NFL games (except my Seahawks) and I would rather watch hockey than 3 hours or cars whipping around a track waiting for a spectacual crash.

Like I said last year, next time you hit Vancouver call me up and we will hit a Vancouver Giants game. Those Junior players play b***s to the wall every night.

i always find it humorous when people say soccer isn't a sport, especially if they went out there and tried it for 5 minutes they would probably keel over having a heart attack. i'm not going to get into a huge soccer debate, you either love it or hate it in the u.s., but there is a reason that it is the biggest sport in the world, not baseball or football.

there were reasons behind it being rated so low. it was the season after a long strike(if you go back and look at how well baseball attendance and viewing was after the strike in 94 i'm sure it was a lot different than it is now) , the teams that were in it, and espn doesn't have any of the games anymore. the games are only on 1 channel except the playoffs and most of last season a lot of providers didn't even have that channel. i could make excuses for it all day. it's never going to compare with one of the major sports in the u.s. but it will rebound ratings wise

And it seems they don't read their emails-
They emailed me personally making this request-



So let me state this clearly

At the time I added them to the bottom of the bad trader list- which has an area for 'Trade with caution users"
Or sellers that have multiple complaints, I was not aware of their cotnact to Joey1727, Nor at the time Kixdude.

My reason for placing them on the list was due to reading a warning on a Yahoo site-
as well as a private owned site.
As I began to hear of them contatcing Sitcom users, 8 in one week, I added them here-
due to the fact the emails showed to me, presented a NY IP
and a FL address
That compiled with the items they had, requesting to be sent first-
and the fact they were not a MEMBER of any of the boards whose members they were soliciting-
No owner or moderator can offer any help or mediation.
Therefore, I added them- as a "trader beware" warning- that they were not a member somewhere anyone could step in.

No ONE person is responsible for their being placed on this list.

They asked me to remove them, 3x.
And my reply was simple-
Join the group, and ask to trade as a member- and contribute to the site, as a member-and be held accountable as a member.
Instead of contacting people on the sly
OR provide some refrences to other sites they were on or trades they had accomplished.

I at that time asked them why the Ip and address didn't match and they told me they were "tired"

They gave this address out, multiple times over the course of 8 days.
I don't care how tired you are, you don't forget where you live for 8 days.

They will not be removed from the list if anything their over persistance to be removed, and making a member here a scapegoat as well as their reason for the address/Ip information makes me feel all the more firmer my decision was correct.

No one is to blame, it was advice- and a warning.
If there is nothing wrong, there is no reason to be this defensive.

If you don't wish to join sites, you aren't trying to build up a reputation-
If you only ask to be sent to first you aren't offering any trust
And if you don't have consistant or honest information, you aren't asking to BE trusted.

Pure and Simple
