There hasn't been an official announcement of season four releasing (as far as I know) but I hope it comes out soon. They seem to be taking about a year or so break between the sets, so I'm hopeful that season four will, eventually, release. It better come out soon, considering all of the crummy shows that are releasing quickly on DVD...

It's been almost a year now. According to Amazon, season 3 was released on 12-6-2005. I thought that they would have  something for Christmas. Is it possible that sales weren't good enough to warrant a season 4 release ?

Look at the bright side at least we have more than one season released. Besides weren't S1 and S2 released more than a year apart?

Never thought of looking.....from Amazon:

Season 1 DVD Release Date: January 13, 2004

Season 2 DVD Release Date: March 8, 2005

Season 3 DVD Release Date: December 6, 2005

So 1 & 2 were released 14 months apart.....does that mean we're due ?

Fox/MGM now owns this property. I haven't heard anything from them yet but Fox doesn't have a great track record when it comes to releasing older shows on dvd. They are releasing the Addams Family though. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Well, it's been 3 years now, since the release of season 3.

There is an entry for season 4 on Amazon, and I signed up for an alert to let me know when it's available. Guess I shoudn't hold my breath.

There probably won't be anymore released. I have four series that just stopped after 3 seasons. I guess they commit to these many and if sales aren't good they stop. Too bad, I would like to have them all.

Sad but probably true. I'd love to see uncut episodes of the last 3 seasons. I think my station speeds and cuts them up. Especially the opening song - sounds like playing a regular record on 78 speed.

Personally, I blame channels such as Nick@Nite and TVland. If they would give these more than a few months at a time every once in a while, more people would watch them and know about them. Many people won't go out and buy a show that they haven't really scene before. It's kinda sad that tv networks won't show older shows like this. It seems like all of them that do eventually turn to showing newer shows.

Anyways, I do have serious doubts of the fourth season being released, but like I said, at least we have more than one season realesed.

I think the only way any more seasons of Green Acres will be released is if a company like Shout! Factory or MPI licenses it from Fox/MGM.

Green Acres would be a logical choice for Shout! to do what they did with Leave It To Beaver, as far as taking a show long abandoned, and releasing it as a complete series with extras!

Mister Ed, another Filmways series, is currently being released on DVD by Shout Factory. So maybe there's hope that Shout Factory will license Green Acres and seasons 4, 5, & 6 will eventually be out on DVD.

I think Green Acres would be a good show to follow up on what they're (Shout! Factory) doing with Leave It To Beaver, taking a long delayed or abandoned show and re-releasing it as a complete series with extras!!
